Thinking of buying a new drumkit
« on: June 29, 2017, 04:25:19 PM »
So i'm thinking of buying a new drumkit, i've had my recent drumkit (Premier Signia) for about 17 years which actually is only my second kit I ever owned. My first was a worn down old Slingerland kit that I got from my parents.
Anyway, my Signia kit has been a faithful companion through the years but also has it's fair share of dents and scratches. I also think it's affected the tone of the drums a bit sadly, can't really get the sound I wan't anymore. Either way I feel it's time for an upgrade.

Was surfing around the web today for various kits and brands. Was reading up on Tama and it's Silverstar kits, seems to be really great quailty for it's price. Lots of people had nice things to say about it. Then again, if you save up a bit more you can get a Starclassic Performance kit with birch/bubinga shells. The question is, is it worth it?

Anyone with experience of Tama kits?
