It just never happened.

Exactly. I know JP in particular wanted to see it happen, but I think after ticket sales for the second North American leg weren't what they were hoping for, they started to question to what degree it would be worth it to film the show and release it, since they've even said that live releases aren't the money makers they used to be. And when they opted to shift gears and do the IWaB shows, instead of doing another TA leg in Europe or do a TA leg in Asia/Oceania, that sealed the fate for there ever being a TA live video release.
As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.

Well if you believe what you read on this forum - it's " by far their worst album and nobody has two weeks to explain what's wrong with it. "

Does anyone know why they such a strict no filming policy? I mean you get yelled at for taking a single picture. I love DT but that has always been something that irritated me.

It was such an unusual concept and performance, made deliberately in sitting theaters, that they probably wanted people to concentrate on the actual presentation rather than going full "sea of LCDs screens" all the time.

If I remember correctly this is their policy at every show, not just for TA.

You do not remember correctly.  It was a new thing for TA.

If we get a DVD release from this I&W and More Tour, I'm going to be livid.

I don't know, I swear I remember seeing them on the ADTOE tour and the venue staff were yelling people through out the show saying the artist requested no photos. Maybe it was just a venue thing.

Could have been.  Some venues are stuck-up sticky beets.

Nah it's just when people describe it as "obviously" the worst album " of course ". . .

Or say it's the worst album. Full Stop. No Reasons.

I saw the band in Stockholm about a month ago and I took a bunch of pictures. Nobody tried to stop me or any the other concert-goers who were taking pictures and/or filming. As a matter of fact, you can clearly see that there are plenty of live videos from the 'Images, Words & Beyond' tour on YouTube (in stark contrast with what happened during "The Astonishing" tour).

I have a different question about the interview. JP said they played on song for the 1st time on the I & W tour.  Which song is it?
I am a new fan (a little over a year) and have been to 3 concerts (TA) so am not as familiar about the concerts.

I'd be shocked if they don't release TA live.
Then prepare to be shocked. It ain't happening unless they decide to do just a live audio release. No shows from 2016 were professionally filmed (or actually filmed at all, given the strict rules against use of phones/tablets during the shows) and the band has stated that they're done with doing TA in its entirety.

That's odd. It really seemed like something they would've released live. I'm not a big fan of the album but just out of curiosity, why didn't they want to release a live version?

The first half of your last sentence might answer the second half of it.
"I liked when Myung looked like a women's figure skating champion."
