Alloy

I actually had a band in the early 90's called that. Then I was in a record store one day and seen a CD with the band named that. I've tried to find information on them in recent years, but the internet acts like they've never existed.

That would only work if they were fat, bloated and boring.

Has to be The Whahibrido Trio surely?

To reiterate

  • We're trying to stay away from anything silly or anything that's going to need to be spelled out for people, so no intentionally misspelled words.
  • Preferably something that commands respect or gets your attention (a local favorite, "Gun Metal Gray" is a good example).
  • Preferably shorter and easy to remember.

Band names are hard to come up with because almost everything you think of is all ready taken. So you have to get creative. My first band's name was Trid, dirt spelled backwards. My current band name is Static illusion. Found out there was a teenage band in Texas with the same name on Youtube, but they probably don't exist anymore. We actually made an album..
May I suggest backward spellings of cool words kind of like DT did with Majesty - Ytsejam

As someone who reads a good amount of technical documentation, I always feel there's plenty of cool words in there that could serve as a band name.

Bad Karma is taken by a band from Dallas (if that matters), but a few Karma-related
Karma Key
Karma Forge
Liquid Crystal Karma

Others:
Walt Jr.
Gunlock
Chiefs of Staff
(Next two are more obscure than you wanted, but I had to throw them in)
Mia Said Something
Three Little Fonzies

Has there ever been a band called "The Four Horsemen"?  If so, even then you can probably get away, legally, with "The Four Horsemen plus one (or plus Cozmo perhaps?)."

Some interesting offerings.  There will be five of us and I've always liked the idea of having 4 or 5 members and calling the band "The (insert name or phrase here) Trio".  Then when people point out that there's more than three people in the band, you pretend like you have no clue what they're talking about.

The Triplets.

Addition...

Neon Skyline.
Tungsten.
Spinning Jenny.
Dog Days.
The Prequels.
The Sequels.
Supercalifragilisticexpiali..fuckit.
Part Dinosaur.
Trilogy.
Metaldeth
Megalica.
Emojica  :xbones
Insert Cake.
The Good, The Bad and the Fugly.
The Bride Fell Silent.
Hot Sofa.
Yellow Brick Toad.
Fresh Pork.
Flood of Sheep
*Insert Band Leader* and the Rotting Christians.
*Insert Band Leader* and the Lubricants.
Winger

Bite your tongue.  As the subsequent photo shows, she was quite the looker in the day, and in fact, I think she's actually still pretty beautiful, even if her size isn't in my wheelhouse.

I was in a band in high school called Pants Full of Spaniards
In college I had a band called Snooze Button Trivia
Feel free to use either of these.

Since you want short , commanding and around the three theme why not

Or...since there are 5 people call yourselves
