The time on the clock is not really related to my day anyway, so it doesn't matter. :lol

Same here actually - since I'm working the night shift. Day is night, night is day. Left is right. Scarred is your favorite song.

Not even Bizarro opposite world stretches that far. :lol

I woke up at 3pm today. One of those days where I woke up and thought fuck it, I don't want to do today.

Yeah, I get that. It's why I took two sick days within the last couple of weeks, which I never do. This night shift is toxic to an insomniac. I just needed an extra day to rest.

I think i've taken one day off sick at work in 2 years.

And one time i had to go home from work as I was sick.

I think I'm well overdue a sickie.

But I've got 5 days off next week so that'll do for now.

Yeah, I can see how that would be a problem. Obviously I don't have a work schedule to be concerned with, but my inconsistent schedule still messes with my sleep and makes me feel isolated with nobody around a lot of the time. Whenever I get back into a routine, it never lasts more than a week or so.

I know as far as your extracurricular activities it's not managed properly, but I also know you have actual health issues you've mentioned in the past. Hence my concern. They've done studies on people who keep odd hours as far as rest and work. It's never good. Something about a certain chemical that gets secreted when the body is supposed to be at rest. I didn't dig much deeper, but I should - as should you.

All I know is that I feel a lot better and I'm more productive when I keep a more regular schedule, but it's harder than it seems when you're a lazy ADHD shit like me. :blob:

Sometimes it feels like I'm forever going to be stuck in the same cycle.

Just got into work. The worst thing about mondays is that it's the furthest day from the start of the weekend.

Maybe you will; maybe you won't. Just figure out what it takes to break the cycle.

Is the new boss the same as the old boss?

Had an audition for a band last night, the invitation to join has been extended.  I'm feeling a little conflicted, may start a thread in the Musicians forum.  The music is great (like if Mogwai dd Rush and Zeppelin covers), but the non-music stuff gives me some reservations...

Nah.  I ask for is to be consistent but more can't.  It's a low paying physical job and the employees are here for a reason.  I want to help them and show them about responsibility and a good work ethic but it never ends.

I'm back in my cubicle today after a week on the couch. Had the flu pretty bad last week. If I had to choose between being here and having the flu, I'd take the flu.

Seriously. Look at the guy's face. He looks like me in a meeting when I'm being told by an overly-excited individual that our models can now factor in the cubic feet of gas lines in a building rather than just the feet in length.

Being less of a smartass, is there any opportunity for any of these people to ever take on more responsibility (and likely more cash), or are they just going to permanently be sets of hands?

Do you think that guy was taking a subtle jab by mentioning all of the international cooperation and the Russians, after Trump just spent 5 minutes rambling about Murica? :lol

The stream is very stuttery for me and just cut out twice. I think I'll give up. It was hard to watch anyway, and those comments were cancer.
