My stupid brain decided to start a completely new random project today instead of continuing the half finished video. I think I lost some motivation because now I need the voice acting done. There's still a ton of other stuff I could do, but that's not how my brain works.

Curious as well, do you do it yourself?

Just got into work. Hopefully this day goes by as quickly as yesterday.

Yesterday didn't go quickly for me cause work was so slow, I expect today to be the same.

How has he been doing?

Good days,  bad days.  They just took him for the procedure.

He's out. The procedure went great.  He's ordering breakfast and staying here for a few hours for observation.

So as discussed in Musician's chat, I'm filling in for two gigs with my old band, as their guitarist is a pothead flake.  I have a couple new songs I gotta learn.  Lonesome Loser, Jessie’s Girl, and Lola Montez (Volbeat).  I sat down with my acoustic last night and learned everything for Jessie’s Girl (except the solo) in about 30 seconds.  I looked over the tab for Lola Montez today and it’s pretty straightforward.  Really cool song.  Lonesome Loser, I need to listen to, to be sure of what’s going on.  Never a dull moment.

Lonesome Loser is a cool 70's tune.

If you're a cool 70's band.

The name of the motorcycle club my old singer and his wife are in is called the Lonesome Losers, so they kinda had to learn the song.  :lol

My stupid brain decided to start a completely new random project today instead of continuing the half finished video. I think I lost some motivation because now I need the voice acting done. There's still a ton of other stuff I could do, but that's not how my brain works.

What project did you start on?

The one I'm messing around with today probably won't go anywhere, as it was just an ADHD impulse thing, and involves a fair amount of programming and graphics that my PC can't even run properly until I get a new graphics card. After spending a couple of months only working on the one project, I needed a change of scenery.

The project I'm in the middle of will definitely get done though. My proper video projects like this always get done, they just take a while because of the amount of work involved, and this one's coming along really well so far. And these videos all earn me money, so that's a nice little motivator too. :hat

Yeah, it's just for my own Youtube page. I have a lot of ideas that I want to make, and I've been trying to improve on the time it takes to make them.

If I was to use a famous deception in reverse from a show Blob loves and is what he is working on,

King -"Blob I need that YouTube video up in two weeks."

Blob -"I'm givin it all she's got King!"

So 2 months. :lol

You're probably exaggerating as a joke, but that's probably about how long it will take to finish it off. :lol I'm reverse-Scotty for estimating times.

Thanks. My main problem is that it takes so long per video. If I could get that down to the point of releasing more than a couple of videos a year, I think I'd do quite well.

Yea that's important, got to keep the content coming.  I have a soft goal of making one youtube video a week to try and keep my content flowing and since it seems I typically get a subscriber or two per video I release, it makes sense.  However, it's much easier to release video game video or concert footage than a totally original animation.  One of my good friends has a fairly successful channel, he makes about $300 a month so he has given me some help with getting my page going, but now he hardly makes any videos (I think he is getting tired of it).

The good thing about Youtube is that you can create whatever you want if you get bored of creating one particular thing. My goal for this year is 6 proper videos, which may or may not be doable. How serious are you about your Youtube channel?
