Like Joe said, he started/runs a brewery called Hill Farmstead that's pretty widely considered the best craft brewery in the country, if not the world.

Afternoon guys. Got some great news today, my boss came up and gave me my full salary early. I was supposed to get a $8k a year raise in three months once training ends but since I was doing so well I got it 3 weeks in, super pumped.

axeman90210

That's pretty damn awesome, congrats :hat

I wish I got an $8k a year raise. Yep, making $8k a year would be sweeeeeeeeeeet.

I've been wondering what this was after seeing it being talked about. Right of Spring fest right? Neal Morse is playing there?

Good morning ish.  I've decided that the neighbors need to be treated to Haken while I do yard work.  :JayOctavarium:

Kotowboy

My neighbours listen to awesome music...

...whether they want to or not :hat

JayOctavarium

Basically.

I usually wear headphones...  But I don't wanna be dealing with the cable as I'm on my hands and knees pulling weeds.

Oh well.

They'll survive.

Hyperplex

*snip* horrible joke that in hindsight wasn't very funny.

See, this is why I censor myself.

Kotowboy

I have over the head headphones for inside but I have some nice SONY in ears for outside with my iPhone.

I would use the big headphones outside but Dad chopped off the broken jack and put on a really long cable and a volume control in so i can plug them

into my record player across the room so that would be so irritating to walk around with.

I cannot stand Apple Earpods. No bass at all and the slightest head movement and they fall out.

hefdaddy42

My mouse wheel is being ignored by DTF again.

I also have over the head headphones for indoors and in ear for outdoors.  Both free headphones from work that are amazing.  Our holiday gift this past year were really nice wireless in ear blutooth headphones.  They are amazing and easily the best company gift I've ever received.  To top it off, I also got two of them since my company seems to always mail me two gifts every year  :lol

Kotowboy

Wireless in ears sound like the stupidest idea ever.

I'm talking mainly about the  ones here...

I like iMacs and iPhone but their headphones have always been garbage and i've 0% interest in iPads or iWatch.

cramx3

Why is it such a stupid idea?  Have you ever tried them?  They are great.

Kotowboy

Because Apple in ears fall out at the slightest movement. If one falls out - you could lose it as it's not attached to anything.

I'm assuming you are talking about the ear buds that come with an iphone?  I've always had issues with cheaper in ear buds not being able to stay in my ear.  The ones I have now are wayyy better.  Came with three interchangeable in ear pieces plus has another piece that wraps alongside the outside of your inner ear (not sure if that make sense) to help stay with falling out.  At the end of the day, I will always prefer my over the head headphones, but certain situations like going for a walk, the in ear ones are much better.

I pretty much always buy in ears with the rubber diaphragms which grip your ears so they *never* fall out when you turn your head. Plus they provide more low end.

Just got home from the hospital. Had a small surgery on my right ear. Seems there was so much fluid behind my eardrum, it actually collapsed it backwards. My right ear has been about 40% of my left ear for a couple of years. Now, everything is so f'n loud!!

Is that an immediate fix then?  That's good you got your hearing back and hope for a quick recovery if it's not all good now.

Immediate fix. I'm having a few things done this year. My wife's insurance is so much better than mine. The doctor doesn't seem to think it'll reoccur.
Literally the first surgery I've had since I had my wisdom teeth out as a teenager.

Damn Tim. 2 years you waited?

I probably noticed a difference longer than that. Like my right headphones are so much softer than my left. It's funny, like in a restaurant, my wife always sits on my right, and I can never hear her.

Last year, we tried to opt out of my insurance and go on my wife's, but after a long appeal process, I got fucked. So as soon as we switched this year, I made a slew of appointments. 2017 is the year I have The TAC 100,000 mile tune up done.
