I honestly couldn't care less about some kids doing stupid dances. Yeah it's cringe-worthy (sometimes in a funny way, & sometimes not), but I don't think it really matters in the bigger picture.

What I do have an issue with, however, is the invasive data collection that the app has on its users, the algorithm blatantly discriminating against disabled & LGBT uploaders, the downright insensitive "challenges" that trend on the platform (graphic warning for those two links), & of course, the app's connection with the Chinese Communist Party (which makes it about as trustworthy as you would expect).

I actually do use rabbit ears (or the modern equivalent of it) to get my tv. I had issues getting NBC to come in tonight.

Why would I pay for something I can get for free? A lot of cord cutters use rabbit ears these days to get their local channels. I rarely watch live TV, basically only for football on Sunday. I just happened to flip it on last night because I had 10 minutes to kill before bed.

It's for another thread (there is one over in P/R, in case anyone is interested) but while your second paragraph concerns are important, I think the dances aren't benign; they have created the culture that leads to the issues of concern. We've become so free with our information, and so convinced that people want to see our dances (and "Like!" them) that it feeds the bleed, so to speak. It makes it possible for those latter things to happen. IMO, only, but I don't see a lot of difference between the two in terms of motivation and opportunity.

My Grandad is 93 and does not have a hint of senility. My Dad is 70 and still has a full head of hair.

Hopefully I get the best of both !

Grandad went completely bald very young but i'm 42 and am not even going grey or receding yet so i dodged that bullet.

There are very few songs I hate. There is stuff I'm not into and don't listen but Paul McCartney Wonderful Christmastime is so grating and irritating. I don't know why but that song just makes my blood boil. I realize how crazy that sounds but I just can't help it.
