I often find that when people get 'triggered' - it's usually on behalf of other people.

My mild irritant of the morning is when folks say, "I'm so proud of [person's name]," where the person is someone that the speaker doesn't know and has no connection to.  In this particular case, it was a couple comments on a Facebook post about the most recently eliminated team on the current season of The Amazing Race.  "I'm so proud of you guys!  You ran a great race...." (as though the team would actually read these comments).  I don't know why this bugs me, but it does.

Happy for you, Joe (now, not that the bad things happened); my father-in-law is about half an hour east of me, and got over 6 inches and lost power most of the night.  I got maybe an inch, if that, and not a flicker.  It was a weird storm like that.

I don't believe I've ever heard Person A, who was born after Person B died, say, "I miss Person B," but yeah, that would be dumb.

My friend also has a secret twitter and refuses to follow me but will just use it to comment on political stuff anonymously.  I'm sure there's A LOT of people like this.  Personally, one of the reasons I like twitter is because I'm more anonymous although I do that to share daily call of duty videos without having to hear from friends and family how annoying it is
