I mock that as often as I can, and it's not just "Reddit". I'm not a huge "reality TV" guy (I feel it's the sign of the apocalypse), except for Food Network, and since I'm relatively immune to it I've noticed that there is a whole syntax that goes along with it that has crept into our vocabulary. The "big reveal". Things have to be "super-" whatever. We're all on a "journey!" I find all of this more than "mildly irritating", and very worthy of our scorn.

I've actually told my daughter (albeit somewhat tongue in cheek) that "winners don't talk about their 'journey', only losers do."

There are students at my job who are a few years behind me. It makes me discouraged when I go out of my way to mentor them and teach them stuff and they act like they don't give a shit or act inconvenienced. And these are tips about mistakes that have gotten pharmacists fired or even sent to jail over deaths from those mistakes.

One of them is very appreciative, but the rest act so inconvenienced that I just stopped bothering. I started doing it because there was a student ahead of me that mentored me and that meant a lot and I just wanted to pass that on to the next group of students, but oh well I guess.

Sketches on YouTube or whatever that are essentially just one joke stretched out over 5 minutes.

College Humour are the absolute worst at this. They'll have a premise like " Batman thinks people he kills are just asleep "...

Then they'll have Batman killing someone and arguing with another person that they're just asleep.

Then he'll kill someone else. Same argument... etc etc...for 5 mins or so. Yeah I got it after like 10 seconds thanks...

Even worse when they're doing the Christian Bale Batman voice as well.

It reminds me of when comedy shows on TV would do a parody of a band. They'd dress up like them and play a song vaguely like their biggest hit

and just change the words to "funny" words. But then they do an entire song. You get the joke immediately... Then you just sit there and watch for 4:30

A Neurologist prescribes my dad to use a C-Pap machine.

After 7 years it fails. Medicare says it needs notes from the doctor about it's usage with dad.

Doctor never talks to him recently about the C-Pap and medicare will not give him one until he has to see the Neurologist.

WTF Doc, this is on you. He should have been taking notes since he prescribed it.
