War, The Unforgettable Fire, The Joshua Tree, and Achtung Baby are all pretty equal at the top for me. I'd have to listen through them again to give a definite answer.

TJT but Achtung Baby is very close to it.

Admittedly i've not heard much of the pre - TUF albums. I should do. Maybe i'll start at the beginning.

But my 3 favourite U2 albums would be :

1. The Joshua Tree. No Question
2. Songs Of Innocence. An amazing return to form. Looking forward to Songs of Experience this year.
3. Achtung Baby.

Voted for the only album of theirs that really impacted me - The Joshua Tree.

They said they're doing something special for it's 30th this year.

Deluxe Boxset / remastered ? Didn't they just do that for the 25th or so ?

Special TJT tour playing the whole thing ?

They were a great band and one of the few I really love in the 80's. But after The Joshua tree, they lost me.
With all respect, sincerely yours

I voted for The Joshua Tree, but the more I think about it...

The Joshua Tree is the better album, but Achtung Baby is the better ACCOMPLISHMENT, especially if you know the backstory.

I love when they do skits like this. The Edge is so funny and Bono is a pretty decent actor. Their little sketch for Metallica's RAR Hall Of Fame induction was good too.

That was really funny.  I love the look on Edge's face.

" Songs Of Experience was ready autumn of 2016 but then Trump was elected and we decided to re think the album "

:emo: They never do anything quickly do they...

As long as it's out this year and is as good as it's predecessor.

Also the band were 40 last year and they didn't really do much did they. I think I saw one tiny Instagram video and that was it.

Amazing that they've been a functioning band longer than i've been alive.

I just got an email talking about "The Joshua Tree 2017 Tour" going on sale.

I'd go see that.  That was the first U2 show I saw.

I've never seen U2. I'd never (get to) go anyway. I don't enjoy massive gigs like I used to.

It's in London with Noel G but still. It's a massive trek to get from West Wales to London AS IT IS.

I just don't bother anymore.

I'm actually listening to the 20th anniversary of The Joshua Tree on Deezer and i've bought the CD version for £10.

I was going to buy it on Vinyl but couldn't bring myself to buy it - even though it wasn't even expensive.

Saw the CD for £10 and went for that instead.
