Went to that guy's videos and clicked on a random one dated January 04, 2020, that said it had no views. NO VIEWS. I have literally never seen that in the 'number of views' line on a YouTube video ever.

We have teleconferences all the time at the company I work for.  For years, it was usually just audio, but video is starting to ramp up.  I guess it's because we don't meet in person at all now, and some people "need" the face time.  Someone calling in from their car wasn't that unusual.

Anyway, I think Jennnifer was used to audio-only, and didn't even think about the fact that she was on video.  That's the only thing I can think of.

I've been working out of the house almost regularly since 2011 (and periods before that as well), and can't lie: the number of conference calls I've taken while sitting on the can is a real number greater than zero.

Hmm, don't think I've ever done that. But I have WAY less experience with video calls. Just a few.

Though I have been taking advantage of phone conference stuff when I can. Muting my end and playing bass is nice.

I've never dropped the kids off at the pool, but have taken a squire when it couldn't be held any longer.  I ALWAYS check to make sure the mute button is active though.

Never had a video moment, but one time when the jingle.kids were younger, I was wrapping a call as we were heading out somewhere.  Jingle.son was being a turd, and I snapped at him "Oh <jingle.son>, for crying out loud".

The con-call host then pipes in "Chad, you're not on mute". :lolpalm:

The closest I've ever come to something like that was when I had my first ever actual chat with Jordan Rudess via webcam and then before I got my question out the piano bench I was sitting on literally collapsed. Busted my shit everywhere on a worldwide stream.

Fortunately that video has been scrubbed from the Internet, not by me, but it was on YouTube for a hot minute.  :lol

When we first got our conference software, the default setting was to use video if it's available.  Since a lot of people use their laptops as their regular PC, and most laptops have cameras built-in, there would be a little video of the person next to their name, maybe half an inch square.  About half the people had these little video squares, and I don't think a lot of them realized that they were on.  I figured out that you could zoom in on individuals, make their video larger, but only on my display.

Let's just say that people do a lot of things I'm sure they wouldn't do during a meeting if they knew people could see them. :lol

I has not happen to me. I am usually very careful whenever I'm on the phone or conference call/video. I pick an area where I can sit for a long time with no interruptions.
