I never used Windows Vista, ever, hated it from day one.
Chose to remain in Windows XP and skipped right into Windows 7

We had one PC, the cheapo one for the kids, that happened to come with Vista. Whether the PC would've been total crap without Vista, we don't know, but it was Vista and it was crap.

Heck, I'd probably still use XP if they'd kept that one going and had a nice 64-bit version. That OS was stable as fuck. Loved it.

I've still got computers at the shop running XP. Best OS they made.

I usually skip two or three at at time. I went from Win95-XP-10. No 2000, NT, Vista, 7 or 8. And it's never the OS that forces me to update. It's always the tertiary stuff. Games will generally run on older OS's, but some of the requirements won't be available. Usually some bullshit dotnet component or something. Just as likely there's no driver support. At home trying to combine an older and newer graphics card proved completely impossible.

That's impressive. We're like 10 years away from XP now, aren't we? But if you never need to change anything, the hardware's still holding up and can run the software you need, there's no reason why you couldn't.

That's awesome!

Especially when at work you have several login/passwords and the password expiration/resets are staggered so that you have to do it every couple weeks instead of all at once.
