Ahh... the joys of being a primary school teacher!  I gotta send this to jingle.daughter, since that's what she wants to be when she grows up.

Fantastic.

Does that pic remind anyone else of the M.A.S.K. cartoon series?

Not in the slightest, but thank you for the brief trip down memory lane. I hadn't thought of M.A.S.K. in probably 20 years.

*goes to youtube to make sure M.A.S.K. is what I think it is.

Me too... guess that ran on in syndication for a long long time if you watched it as a kid.

Saw this on Reddit today. The comment about looking through the book about The Little Mermaid, opening the last page and seeing Ariel sitting there and the word "Slut." made me laugh quite a bit. :lol

Must have - Cartoon Network aired it when I was... I dunno. I couldn't have been older than 7 or 8 at the ABSOLUTE latest, so 1995-1998 for me? I remember watching it with Pirates of Dark Water and other good stuff.

Battle of the Planets was around in the late 70s. I preferred Star Blazers, which was the same concept (serious anime overdubbed in English for kids).

I think I remember Star Blazers.  No recollection of Battle of the Planets.  I much preferred this (although not anime):  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pg2-ZKvMrIQ

Star Blazers was amazing. Can still hum that theme song though I can't say I've heard it in decades. It was great how it had an overarching narrative, a specific mission the crew was tasked with (saving the Earth, no less!), instead of just a bunch of random adventures. There was a gravitas to it that for some reason 10 year old me could appreciate.

Oh, heck yeah.  I preferred Ultraman.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWL0vXFo17Y  But Specreman had a better theme song.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8Of2qGsh5I
