I mean the actual piece called "Russian Christmas Music" instead of a music category

Sorry for not posting for a few days. Real life got crazy. I'm posting TEN SONGS right now!!!

93. Merry Christmas (I Don't Wanna Fight Tonight) - The Ramones
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Y5GtaTrPHM
Sometimes you just need something like this. Love the late 80s rock sound. This is just fun.

28. Lo How A Rose - Jan Sandstrom
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWmqI4zoHX8
This is the most beautiful version of this song I've ever heard/sung.

61. Merry Christmas, Darling - The Carpenters
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YR1ujXx2p-I
So yeah, I have a soft spot for the Carpenters.

19. O Come O Come Emmanuel - Enya
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPHh3nMMu-I
My favorite version of this carol. It perfectly combines the chant like melody of the song (i mean, it WAS a chant) with Enya's characteristic ethereal style.

56. Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End) - The Darkness
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5dVCPH8f5Q
Here you go twosuitsluke.

87. All I Want For Christmas Is You - Mariah Carey
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXQViqx6GMY
Yeah yeah yeah. I know it's way overplayed, but it kind of had a resurgence this year in my life when I learned how to play it on the ukulele, and when middle schoolers get excited about that, you can't not like it. It'll probably be off again next year :lol

76. Hark the Herald Angels Sing - Mannheim Steamroller
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EK59R-HfTGw
For some reason this reminds me of Claymation Christmas but I don't think this was on that.

49. White Christmas - The Drifters
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfZPtkqXQIA
Reminds me of Home Along and the Santa Clause

74. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer - The Temptations
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gs--phzj2TQ
Claymation version.

98. Winter Wonderland/Don't Worry Be Happy - Pentatonix
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1nQpoAvTSg
I love mashups.

BOTTOM 3. Do they know it's christmas - Band Aid
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjQzJAKxTrE
This was guessed earlier so I'm just posting it.
I don’t know what to put here anymore

Oh what the hell let's do a few more. I want to get a few more of the bottom 20 or so of the list filled in. Random.org has been biased towards the top numbers.

My goal is to have 11-100 filled in by tomorrow, and then start counting down Sat or Sun (my weekend is hella busy though).

86. It's Christmas All Over the World - Sheena Easton
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Valp3rAFubA
New Edition did a version around the same time but I love this one more. It's from Santa Claus the movie, a pretty forgettable film starring Dudley Moore but I liked it alot.

83. Gloria - Michael W. Smith
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7GDe5-0x30
Yay for early 90s editions of Angels We Have Heard On High

88. Mary Did You know - CeeLo Green
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1ptNwE7K8o
I really am not a fan of CeeLo, but his voice is powerful here.

100. The 12 Days of Christmas - John Denver and the Muppets
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MX43ynMvm0
Well you just gotta. And Kermit saying "on the 12th" is just so Kermit.

95. Christmas Baby Please Come  Home - Darlene Love
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UV8x7H3DD8Y
Phil Spector.

BOTTOM 4. I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas - Gayla Peevy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Dec9Jb_Ac4
I really hate this song but I have to deal with it because my kid is singing it for a recital this weekend.

That's an a capella version of "We Three Kings" by the gospel quartet the Cathedrals.  Ordinarily, I don't like that kind of stuff, but this is crazy.  Their bass singer is ridiculous.  Also, the modulations.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

I know about them, my dad likes their music. Their bass is definitely insane.  Have you ever heard their version of Carol of the bells? That last dong just makes the room vibrate

Very cold night. This is what I'm going to do. Every space I have from the bottom up I will count down. I want to be done with this by Saturday. So here are 11 more.

99. Deck the Halls - Julie Andrews
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvecSGziYXA
I have to post this. It's not super unique, but I love me some Jules.

97. Do You Hear What I Hear - Deniece Williams
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pB9XzFkwbTY
Total 80s here, but I love it. If you don't know the name, she does Let's Hear It For The Boy.

92. Carol of the Bells - August Burns Red
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUId5f1-KbE
METAL  :metal :metal :metal :metal

91. What Child Is This - Roberta Flack
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j455RJ1gCU0
Very simple, yet emotional, like you'd expect from her. Smooth.

90. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - Tori Amos
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwX62HL2vKo
I love Tori.

89. White is the Winter night - Enya
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8TXxwWSqAg
I love Enya too.

85. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas - Ella Fitzgerald
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9L5mPfpeXxk
I love Ella too, and I love how she used the original lyrics.

84. In Dulci Jubilo - Mike Oldfield
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIUlEUWKloM
This was higher a few years ago, and this may go back up, but I just haven't been feeling it this year.

82. Old Saint Nicholas - Doris Day
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuBogu1jLXI
A classic that I really really enjoy.

78. Jing-A-Ling Jing-A-Ling - Andrews Sisters
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_zIcnm8bqQ
I love the Andrews Sisters.

71. Snow - White Christmas
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQ9cxfumEOo
A classic.

If McCartney's Wonderful Christmastime isn't on your least favorite list, you have no credibility.  That song has no redeeming value.

You and me, then. Perhaps it's because I'm a Macca fanboy (he's my favourite songwriter ever) but I quite like it :P

I'll be honest.  I have never, ever liked Manheim Steamroller.

Ever.

This.  They're awful.

Edit:  nm, I just saw that Cool Chris posted the Monkees version.  :lol

Next batch.

59. Excuse My Christmas - Jan Terri
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5Ng1HbOAKs
:metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal JAN TERRI IS A GODDESS
I love Rock and Roll Santa as well, but there's something about the lyric "In Spanish they say 'Feliz Navidad, Feliz Navidad' it's Christmas"

58. Do You Hear What I Hear - Mary J Blige
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MithWGgN44w
This version is powerful.

54. Have yourself a merry little Christmas - Sam Smith
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnEqv8WcVq8
I really like Sam Smith. This version is just nice and tender.

50. Deck the Halls - Mannheim Steamroller
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEHzYjuf5NA
Sorry. But not.

48. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen - Ronnie James Dio
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nRKb4u__Aw
:metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal

46. Jingle Bells - Kay Thompson
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGEv2ujeA3s
Kay Thompson is better known for being Liza Minelli's godmother and for writing the 'Eloise' childrens books, but I've always enjoyed this version. It's upbeat and different.

43. The Little Drummer Boy - Daryl Stuermer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i_StNGR_9U
Why doesn't Daryl get more love?

40. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen - Pentatonix
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ku7ohU1IGls
Yessir.

I'll start filling in the bottom as well

25. O Come All Ye Faithful - Celine Dion
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFWyiYDWPm4
Yuck. Just bland and boring, and that choir in the middle does not work.

24. Blue Christmas - Elvis Presley
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uwfz5mMLSDM
The background singers ruin it for me. That "oo-oo-OOO-oo-oo" western cowboy sad moan just irritates me. Doesn't make things better that the song sucks.

23. Where Are You Christmas - Faith Hill
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neDTNYlEWIo
Why are there such thing as Christmas songs that make you depressed?

22. The First Noel - Josh Groban and Faith Hill
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DxQNBGKsX0
Faith again, and this duet does not work, and isn't special at all.

yes, I love this version!  Awesome melodic solo at the end.  Most Christmas seasons this is the first album I listen to and since this leads off the album it is a great way to bring in the season.

Carl Anderson's O Holy Night from the GRP vol 2 album is another favorite
