Haken Survivor Main Thread---
Next up is Haken's second album, the one they released in 2011 called Visions. Released barely 1.5 years after the band's debut, Visions was already an album the fans of the band looked forward to. The band teased some songs in their live gigs up to the release (Nocturnal Conspiracy & Deathless, most notably) and the news that this one would be yet another concept album was well-received.
The band toured the album extensively, especially in 2012 when they co-headlined shows throughout Europe with fellow British prog-metallers Headspace, who had released their own concept album 'I Am Anonymous' in that year. The 'Anonymous Visions' Tour featured both bands playing their respective albums in full.
Although I initially loved Visions a lot, it has worn down on me personally, to the point where I think it's my least favourite Haken album. That's not really saying a lot, because I still think it's a stellar record. It has some amazing moments and some that don't work nearly as well. It will be interesting to see the order DTF comes up with for this record.
My first vote goes to The Mind's Eye, which only just edges out the opening track as my least favourite in this record.
24 Hours, as always.
