I know this thread gets resurrected every few years, but I really miss the plug.dj sessions. Surely in 2023, there is a way we can have real time listening parties with chat?

I'm not up on this sort of thing but I'm sure some of you are aware of a way we can make this happen? I've got so much King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard to play you!

I feel like we're going in circles. Last time the discussion also circled back to going forward with the Discord bots and that got nowhere.

Well if one of those other sites is viable then maybe we can get back on, without the need for discord and bots. I'll be honest, I have no clue how that works, or how to set it up, but I'm down to help make it happen.

I made a Discord server almost exclusively for this a few years ago. We did a few listening parties, but it fizzled out after that. Discord isn't really set up well for that unfortunately.

That Turntable.fm looks kind of promising though.

You could also do a group listen with Spotify and chat over discord but the downside of that is that you need a spotify account.

OK, so Glasser and I have created accounts in Turntable.fm.

We're having the same problem that Evermind mentioned above, with songs you are queuing cutting out after 30 seconds. I'm gonna persevere, see if I can suss it out.

OK, I think I've worked it out. Like Plug.dj, you need to create a playlist and add your songs to it before you can DJ. I am now playing the new Stortregn, can anyone hop in and hear it?

Yea, it looks like a real viable option. I was able to queue stuff up easy enough, but you have to create a playlist and add songs to it before it'll let you DJ I think. Also had an issue (that I think we had on Plug.dj) with certain videos not working. Either way it could be good, just need to work out how we rotate DJs, as Tim and I weren't able to figure it out.

Also, how we create our own DTF Room. Progress though, let's get a few more of us in next time.

Sweet. How did you add the new room? I couldn't figure it out, but I was on my phone.

Looming at your OP, did you guys find using the sound cloud links worked better than YouTube? I'm definitely wanting to use YouTube for some because I need to share some music videos with you. I guess there's the regional issue for some videos as well though.

Looked at the track history that you guys listened to, looks like you has a good session!

Okay yeah it kind of works. There's a problem as a lot of YouTube videos are blocked in my country and I can't pay for a decent VPN service as the debit/credit cards are also blocked, but I'll see if I can fix that.
