Okay, just sent! Decided to not go with the most awkward-to-sing-along-to song on the album in the end.

Also agreed on the last comment on the Russkaja song, I don't think I'll ever go crazy about their catalogue, I only frequent a couple of their songs, but I'm seeing them next week with a great group of people and I'm pretty fucking excited :metal

Train: Russkaja - Energia
(when the vocals are in Russian they sound similar to German, hope that's not too offensive to any of you guys who are German or Russian)
The vocals are actually German at times though :lol for example at the start. The band name is a little misleading as the band is actually from Austria, though two members are Russian (I believe the lead guitarist and vocalist). Damn, why is this round so consistent, haven't really gained any ground in the standings with that 8

I have a great band in mind for the sing-along round, but I just need to decide on the most suitable song for you to sing along to, to make it as awkward as possible

Yea, I'm not gonna lie, I did zero research on these guys and just assumed they were singing in Russian due to the band name and the video. Typical British ignorance  :lol

It was a tough round although you are only 2.5 points off the top spot. It's all to play for  :tup

I would definitely see Russkaja live, would be great fun with a few beers in me.

Not gonna lie, I kinda expected you to like Seventh Wonder :) whole album is full of those beautiful melodies, and Tommy Karevik is on point on every song.
Now, I think I have something just perfect for this round but I'll just check my spreadsheet to see if there's something better.

Ohhhhh, a spreadsheet  :eek

I have downloaded the album actually and will give it a listen today or tomorrow. It was certainly an awesome choice of song  :tup

Yep, I usually make a spreadsheet in Excel with bunch of bands (and songs) before roulette start to make it less chaotic.
I liked Mercy Falls when I first heard it but I truly fell in love with it this year, that's why it's not on my Top 50 albums list even though it wasn't too far behind #50. If I did a list now it would definitely be there.
Also, I'm sending you the link to file right now, my song is not on Spotify.

I have the perfect song for this round; I have no doubt it would win the round, and may even prompt our host to say "Stadler, you win the roulette, that is such a good song for this round!".

Alas, the band is on the "Banned List".

Not a problem of course, the rules are the rules.  My problem is that I can't get that first song out of my head long enough to find a replacement! I'm going to have to go through my CDs and try to come up with an alternate.

Yea, that song really grew on me. I mean I liked it from the get go but I LOVE it now.

The build up in Dear Dead Days, from the piano to the pounding drums to the climax of the guitar solo is just awesome. That is a euphoric musical moment for me. I love it.

Edit: Also, the props should go to Tomislav for sending it  :tup

I had Frost* on my list of bands to send (surprised you hadn't heard them before actually), I love all their stuff and Dear Dead Days is a real good one IMO.

Ok, I have 5/12 subs so far. This may be a shorter round as 4 of the 5 songs so far are under 4 minutes.

I'll have a first listen to these now and see what we've got  :corn

Song For Love, Extreme.  When I saw them on the 25th Anniversary tour, they were late, and the crowd was actually booing for a while.   This song?  Place went nuts.

We won't be having hangmanen this round. I will be attempting my ill fated game where I post sound clips of me singing parts of the song for you all to guess.

I'll start with just my isolated croon, if it proves too difficult to guess (which is highly likely) then I'll do it with the song playing as well, or give hints  :tup

If one person guesses one song then I deem this a success and will petition to make this a thing in roulettes  :lol

Right, I've given every song one listen. This round is sounding weaker than the last. I think a few of you felt unsure of what to send in this themed round.

One song stands out as nailing the theme after the first listens. There are some really cool songs though, regardless of theme. I'm not sure how to score though?? I will either score normally and add a bonus point, if it fits the theme for me, or give a score that combines how much I like the song and how well it fits the theme. Difficult.

I might put up the first few links tonight, for you all to guess. Get your insults at the ready  :lol

I know this themed round has thrown a few of you but if I get one perfect song out of it then it is a success for me. The rest of you can suck it  :lol

The round 6 theme is purely for the lulz. I know it is ridiculous but it's all supposed to be a bit of fun.

You can opt out and get a 0/10 or dive in and get a 1/10.

For the record, are ANY of you wrestling fans? I'm not anymore but I was for quite a few years.

It just has to be bombastic and over the top  :lol

Or something kinda ominous and atmospheric. As I said earlier in the thread, if you are unfamiliar with wrestling just imagine the song to be your soundtrack if you were in a movie!!
