Alright, at least the whole Coming Home thing ended there. Only after taking my favorite song down as a casualty, but at least my other two favorites are still standing. So, yeah, Isle of Avalon and The Talisman are top 10 songs IMO. The other is probably top 20. So that one.

Went with Wind as well.

The song is great and all, but it's structured in a weird way. It starts with that nice acoustic melody, then explodes into that "jump-along" part and then.... well, it just drags. It's still nice and pretty, the solos are good and all that, but there's nothing else exciting going on and the climax is only lyrical, when you found the old couple killed themselves for nothing.

Basically when the song starts "for real", the best part already happened.

The Talisman

I think Wild wind is very originally structured. I think of it as three sections with the reprise of the first one at the end. Not a lot of Maiden epics have that kind of structure.
