All songs are in! I am on my second listen now, a few more songs that I'm not to sure about yet compared to the previous rounds. Which is a great thing btw, it's good to send things out of my comfort zone. We'll see if they grow on me, I hope to do results this weekend. No hangmanen this time, I don't have enough time to update in the next days.

do a different silly game then, like post artist names or song titles and have people guess who sent what.

or link the artists to the titles and then guess who sent what. and then the participants will have to confirm, so you don't have to.
Hey dude slow the fuck down so we can finish together at the same time.

Just a list of band names could be fun too yeah, letting people guess which song was sent and the participants themselves could give hints maybe. (my band is obvious as fuck though :lol)

I don't know if any of you guys would know the band I've sent but by a process of elimination, I'm sure mine would be easy to work out.

That I can do  ;D So here's the list of bands:

-Sólstafir
-The Flatliners
-Florence and the Machine
-Sonata Arctica
-East of the Wall
-Avengend Sevenfold
-The hotelier
-Rage Against the Machine
-SikTh
-Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band

So I'd guess:

Elite - Sólstafir
Evermind - Sonata Arctica
Parama - East of the Wall
Train of Naught - Avengend Sevenfold
Luoto - SikTh

Don't want to guess too many as it'll be obvious which is mine (it may be obvious anyway )

Also, I think I have picked a short song that might work and snag a bonus point for the next round  :tup

Solstafir is Luoto, check the post above :lol

Flatliners sounds like a twosuitsluke band. RATM = Sacul. Florence and the Machine, gonna go ahead and guess Tyrias.

A7X is correct btw :tup I'll leave the rest open for others to guess, and still gotta guess some songs. For RATM I'm going to take a completely blind guess and say Guerilla Radio.

A7X - A Little Piece of Heaven?

If I ever sent anything by A7X it would only ever be off Waking the Fallen or City of Evil. I couldn't ever see myself sending anything off their self titled.

It's their only song I like (not that I hear much) and I remember Train have sent it before.

Contrarily, I couldn't ever see myself sending anything off City of Evil or Waking the Fallen :lol even though I like those albums more. Not a single song off either of those albums ranks higher than ALPOH in my rankings. Plus I think something avant-garde would do better than a more standard A7X song on DTF in general.

Nah, Sacul sent Florence & the Machine. And probably even 'You've Got the Love' to snatch an easy bonus point.

So guessed so far:

Luoto: Sólstafir
Twosuitsluke: The Flatliners
Tyrias: Florence and the Machine
Evermind: Sonata Arctica
Parama: East of the Wall - Ocean of Water
Train of Naught: Avengend Sevenfold – A Little Piece of Heaven
??? The hotelier
Sacul: Rage Against the Machine
??? SikTh -
??: Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band

I should probably give some hints for the songs, otherwise it might take endless guessing  :P

Well, everyone who had been on the previous Ayreon listening session knows my song, I actually revealed it in the chat.

I'll give everyone else a hint, I was aiming for a "spoken word" bonus.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

That's all correct  :tup

Some hints (I am terrible at this )

Sacul's song is very relevant atm
Elite sent a four letter song
Scorpion sent a cover
Tomislav sent a beastly song
Twosuitsluke is gasping for air
Tyrias has the magic number

And you already know Evermind's album and the amount of letter's in Luoto's song  :D

Yes he did :tup

And the RATM song isn't Killing in the name (I would have rejected that song) nor War within a Breath, not even that sure about the lyrics, but the videoclip is pretty much about the situation in the US right now.

I don't have time to finish the write-ups today (they are mostly done, but I am leaving for Utrecht  in an hour, going to see God Is An Astronaut tonight  ;D) so here are some tidbits!

I listened to the songs in this round once while walking outside in the middle of the night with headphones on, and this song was absolutely perfect then

I do think I would really enjoy this in a live setting though

This song is pretty good for a ‘insert genre’ song actually

Her voice works perfectly with the instrumentation to create quite a unique atmosphere

It’s a pretty simple composition but still a sound I enjoy very much

I love that chorus riff, it’s so groovy  :metal

This is exactly the sort of quirky song I was hoping to get for this bonus theme

I just love how insane this goes

the music really fits the story in the lyrics just really well

It’s got the same feel thoughout the song but still goes quite some places

Probably one of these, if any, not massively confident but we'll see.
