wish i liked them more. i listened to some of their last album and just couldn't get into them bcuz of the vocals
Check their first album (Pursuit of the Sun & Allure of the Earth), vocals are not so low (or whatever it's called)

Please don't count on results today, I still have to finish a writing assignment before I can continue the write-ups . Also I gave every song at least four listens now. ( The songs I recieved earlier slightly more listens)

Only one band left to guess. Which band did this awful Frozen cover?

Home, are you allowing instrumental hip-hop for the bonus or are vocals obligatory?

I guess that's okay, I have no clue as to how instrumental hip-hop sounds though

I will probably not even send something instrumental though, was just curious. My favorite hip-hop song of 2016 has some fine vocals :metal

Yeah I will likely be going for piano (this round), hip-hop and dj0nt.

I thought of sending Thank You Scientist's Prologue of the new album for the short song bonus because I think it's an awesome song on its own still, but it just feels bad to send a 2 minute song in a roulette when you're trying to fully represent the artist you are sending. The host misses out bigtime.

Anyway not even sure if my djent song is actually considered djent so I may need to look for something else. I honestly still don't know what defines djent apart from constant palm-muting :corn

actually still haven't checked them out further after that one listen but yeah that album was pretty great.

please don't send one of tys' short songs. considering, y'know, all of their normal length songs are freaking awesome
well, barring maybe grin, suspicious waveforms, and blue automatic, but that's bcuz i need at least one song to pick on from each of their releases  :corn

Anything that has that djenty sound you get when palm muting l0w n0tes on guitar is fine   :tup

I don't have time to finish the write-ups today, so here are some tidbits  :o

I don’t think I’ve ever heard something that sounds similar to this, man you might have opened me up to a whole new genre.

It’s got some really nice happy vibes that just don’t do a lot for me

The high melody there is quite beautiful and complements the vocals, which lack an interesting melody, really well.

This sounds really fresh compared to a lot of other bands in the genre

This has some pretty chill vibes

I have listened to some songs of this band before, but have never properly checked them out. Well this song convinced me to finally do so!

Some really nice grooves throughout the song

The repetitive vocal lines actually work really well

I just love the emotion in his voice when he’s not singing

It’s almost a little… cheesy?

I don't know your band and song, but I'm 90% sure that this is The Lantern, fucking Parama. Though this album is one of a kind home, you're not going to find other albums like this one unfortunately.

i'm still half-tempted to call the opener the best track on the album because of the spoken word bits and also because the clean bits are fantastic too but i wasn't sure it'd work as good out of context

The opener is actually the song I had planned, for mike's roulette aswell but with his I cheated by making a file that had the first song + the first few seconds of the second song and let it fade out as Garret exhales just before the blastbeats come in. :lol I liked the edited version better than The Razor's Edge as a standalone song but it still feels weird out of context.

It’s got some really nice happy vibes that just don’t do a lot for me
