Meet & Greet question: can I bring this item up for signing?
« on: August 24, 2016, 10:12:40 AM »
Hello DT fans!

I'm a big DT addict since years and also try to collect some RIAA awards.

Since few time, I finally have the honor to own one of DT's Images & Words Gold RIAA award.

My question is: would it be respectful to bring it at a meet & greet in order to have it signed by the band?

If so, my Graal would be 100% complete :D

Many thanks!

Generally speaking, you can bring whatever you want to a meet and greet to have it signed.  And knowing the band, they would be happy to sign something like this.  But good luck tracking down Kevin Moore for his signature!

You can do it, but only if you post a pic here afterwards.  :)
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

@hefdaddy42: sure I'll do!! I hope they're coming back soon here in Spain  ::)

In the meantime, I post here some pictures of the award... I love it! :heart my best DT memorabilia item ever!

How about Mike Portnoy? Can I present it to him for signing as well?

I'm sure he would sign it.
Especially if you are wearing a ADTOE tour shirt when you approach him to ask.

I´ve been to two of their meet & greets, and I´ve seen people bring guitars to be signed. One couple had the whole band sign the girl´s belly, who was 07 months pregnant. And one guy asked Portnoy to sign his copy of the special edition of King Crimson´s In the Court of Crimson King.

For the meet and greet with the band, are you allowed to take pics and videos with your camera?
