I see 3/10 is the score to beat, just sent my attempt at breaking that record.

Due to time and such, I'm making a few changes. I'm going to reduce this from 10 rounds to 7-8 rounds. Just need one more person and we can start.

BTW good strategy is to change thread name and ask for submission. "Scar's Roulette: Elite, where are you?"

OK! So sorry for the long delay, here it is now. Jeez, that was long.

Sacul's - Kashiwa Daisuke - "City in the Lake"
10/10
Your song of the year is awesome! The piano introduction was amazing and I felt like I was in space, in a journey to find the greatest treasure. I fell asleep to this song once and thank you for this song. Now this song is on top of my playlist and I'm sure to listen to it, every single day! Really beautiful and brought me to tears. Everyone should cry when listening to this song. It's a crime not to.

Lonestar's - "Gaza" - Marillion
10/10
That was an amazing song! I really love long songs and you hit the nail in the head! At first, I was skeptical when I heard the introduction. Just something about it through me off, but that changed when I listened to the whole song! Really speaks miracles and wonders to me. Thank you very much for this song!

Shadow's - Wintersun - "Sons of Winter and Stars"
9.5/10
The introduction got me immediately hooked. It was like a barrage of missile's being fired at me. Absolutely love the vocals of this song. I felt the chills throughout the song and the keyboards and guitar do extremely well to bring the mood. Starting around 4:30, that melody had me closing my eyes and falling in love with it. Now, I have to listen to this song everyday. Nice choice!

Luke's - Mastodon - "The Last Baron"
9.5/10
Another extremely nice song! Again, this introduction is amazing! At first, when I listened to it, I didn't like it that much, but as I began listening to it again and again, my love for the song began rising and rising. Absolutely love the vocalist and I'm wondering why I haven't gotten into this band yet. And that riff around the 8 minute mark....that was amazing!

Scorpion's - Agalloch - "In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion"
9.0/10
Charming acoustic introduction. :tup I was really sad when I found out that Agalloch was no more, but it doesn't matter, as their legacy will live on. One thing I love are acoustic sections and this acoustic section was totally amazing! Just for that acoustic introduction, this song jumped up a lot. This song encapsulates almost all the emotions a person possessing an inquisitive mind and going through existential crises experiences. And it's pretty emotional to me too.

Train's - Native Construct - "Chromatic Aberration"
8.5/10
You were right Train. It was extremely hard to get to at the beginning and I had a hard time staying focused, but as time went on, it slowly began speaking to me. This reminded me of how I was introduced to Opeth. I couldn't bear myself to listen to it, but when I did, it slowly clicked. An amazing song really, don't know why people would call this song cheesy, but I thought it was pretty good!

Tomi's - "Sapphire" - Redemption
8.5/10
I fell in love with the vocalist immediately. This really was a good song and it was super emotional. It spoke to me in many, many levels. Wow, what a song! And it really sounded similar to Dream Theater and that is extremely good! Every 15 minutes was not a waste and was amazing!

DoC's - Iced Earth - "Dante's Inferno"
9/10
Thrash metal right? Is it normal if I heard traces of prog in there? Anyways, brutal song! The ending keys are absolutely beautiful, and definitely the best representation of the very last lines in the last canto of the Inferno. Even some hard ass black metal doesn't come close to this. Maybe it's the epicness in this song that makes it unbeatable. Kind of like Opeth, I guess, but this song can be dang heavier than Opeth!

Elite's - "I Am" - Theocracy
10/10
Amazingly beautiful cover, amazingly beautiful music, what isn't amazingly beautiful about this album? I've read the comments saying that this is a Christian song, but I can't really see that. You know, awesome just had a whole new meaning after I heard this song. It's super beautiful and man....So much wisdom in these lyrics, one can reflect upon it for hours.
Nice choice!

Standing:
1) Scorpion - 47.5
2) Sacul - 47.5
3) Luke - 47
4) Elite - 46.5
5) Destiny of Chaos - 46
6) Tomi - 45
7) Train of Naught - 44.5
8) Lonestar - 44.5
9) Shadow Ninja - 44

Hahaha Chromatic Aberration is easily the worst song to start off with but I'm glad you at least partially liked it :lol this song makes more sense after you check out the album as there's a lot of recurring themes and stuff.

This round is easy as fuck. I won't play any games, sending the best Avenged Sevenfold song right now.

I don't think this round's theme is fair. I know like 2 songs by Avenged, and Train have sent one of them  at the same time there are bunch of songs by other bands that I (and others, I believe) would like to send instead.

I know literally no Avenged songs, so...

I'd say, if you want to keep with this "get me into X band" thing, at least have 4 or 5 different, popular DTF artists we can choose from. Otherwise it's too restrictive.

I'm still a bit confused as to why you're hosting this round after clearly making clear that you know all of their albums in the A7X thread?

Is there more than one person on that account or did you simply dislike the band so much that you have forgotten all of their songs apart from the 3 you mentioned + their worst album? If the latter is the case I don't see why you would host a round where you only get A7X songs.

Yeah but I feel like that was kinda in jest because everyone knows he hates Winger

Scar actually seems to like avenged sevenfold a lot already according to previous comments so that kind of ruins the entire goal of roulette's in general :lol

Tbh, I copy and pasted the banned list and erased some artists I didn't know. Lets cancel this round and let me update the banned list. Once I do, it will be an open round.

I don't think you need to apologise dude. I know it kinda makes it a hard round for people to participate in if they don't know the band. I also agree that it could have been expanded a bit maybe to add a few other bands or something but all things considered this is your roulette. I know you don't want people to quit this thing but you definitely don't need to apologise.

I like themed rounds  this one may not have been the most all inclusive choice but at least you gave it a shot. I can send you my top 5 Avenged tunes along with my submission this round ok  :tup

Yeah, if it was the band everyone knew I wouldn't mind but A7X isn't really the most popular band here. It would be hard with any band really.
