that would've been like a 9.75 when I scored it and a 10 now

any of the 9.5's would've been probably at least 9.0 here. 8.75 at the very lowest.

Tbh I kind of hope this happens too.

Guessed both snippets correctly  :hat I guess I can understand why you find the synth sound annoying, thanks again for the lengthy write ups!

Except I can’t freaking find any songs on this album online anywhere, so, there’s that :V
They are on Spotify...

I am really running out of good songs to send now  :lol Sent some Stoner/Doom metal.

Round 5 First Impressions

Honestly this is actually more appealing than the proggier earlier bits to me, it’s very straight and to the point with actual emotional impact.

There’s definitely a sense of scale to this song, even besides its runtime, at half its length it’d still be nailing an epic and majestic sound quite well.

Yeah, the groove of the riffs is definitely the strongest point of this for me, mostly because they’re present through a lot of the song – so I like a lot of the song because of them.

The guitar work on this song is pretty colorful throughout and easily the most enjoyable aspect of this song for me.

Overall: Yeah, I liked all four of these. No further comment.

Round 5... Hangman?!?

Actually, nah, doing something different this time.
I picked out basically random 5-second clips from each track and now you get to find the songs using them as your guide.
The file with all the clips back-to-back is here.

The audio clip changes every 5 seconds on the dot, and there's 12 clips in all, 3 for each song.
Match each clip to a song title and each song title to a user, go go go.

1: ???: ???
2: ???: ???
3: ???: ???
4: ???: ???

6: ???: ???
7: ???: ???
8: ???: ???
9: ???: ???
10: ???: ???
11: ???: ???
12: ???: ???

hold your horses, evermander
also obviously don't guess the clips from your own song, unless you really want to

I meant "them" as "my snippets".

The Scarecrow is the best choice, because even if I get eliminated in this round, I honestly can say I've sent the best power metal available.

Okay, that makes more sense! I have to agree, it was right of you to go big with that one. If Parama doesn't like it, you can't be faulted for having made a questionable power metal choice.

Well, it's my favourite power metal song, so yeah, for me it is indeed. Power metal can be different, there is that classic 80s power metal which you can hear on Helloween first two Keeper albums, and there are some killer songs; first two Avantasia albums, The Metal Opera pt. 1 and 2 both have that classic power metal feel as well, with some killer tunes like Reach Out for the Light, The Tower and The Seven Angels, but if we're talking modern power metal, this song is where it's at. I wouldn't even wholly label it "power metal", but it's damn close, and it's damn perfect for me.
