Veep or Silicon Valley

I need a new show to watch and I've seen one episode from each of these shows. Both were very funny.

This, but I'd find it hard for me to choose Veep over SV anyway just because I'm a tech geek and can relate to SV on so many levels.

I would do both, Silicon Valley has fewer episodes and is awesome. But Veep is a sustained barrage of comedic insults that make me laugh so hard I have to rewatch scenes several times. I too love them both and maybe now after seeing them both I had to choose one over the other it would be Veep.

Gun to my head, I would say Silicon Valley.

But there's no gun to my head, so watch both.

When not only one, but two people reply for you.

Seriously, Silicon Valley is absolutely wonderful. Watch it if not now, as soon as possible. It's also short, 30 minutes episodes for a season that has only 8 or 10.

The episode of Silicon Valley I watched was the one where they were getting ready to demo a compression application and attempted to calculate how long it'd take to jack off every guy in the room  :lol :lol "We're interested in the dick to floor ratio. Call it D2F"

That was the climax of season 1 and one of my favorite scenes in all of television.  When solving that problem they figure out the middle out algorithm, so amazing.

I haven't seen Veep, but Silicon Valley is wonderful. Everyone is always excited for Game of Thrones on Sundays. I concern myself with the more important show that airs afterwards.

Perhaps the funniest single episode of any show I've ever seen.

I still go back and watch that one episode a few times a year.

Haven't seen Veep but Silicon Valley I have and it's awesome and it's nice with short episodes for once compared to everything else i'm watching atm.

Don't make me choose, they're both spectacular.

I've been thinking about this for the last almost 5 hours and I can't choose. Every time I want to agree with everyone here and go Silicon Valley, I think about all the brutal insults and great dialogue in Veep. Plus Jonah Ryan, whose Senate campaign this season was spectacular.

I didn't realize Veep was considered to be so good.  I guess I just don't really know anyone who watches it so have never come across people saying to watch it.  Given it's on HBO plus what you guys have said about it, I think I should check it out.

I too couldnt believe I had never watched Veep until last month. The show is exactly my kind of show and I don't think there's been a single bad episode. All the side characters are hilarious! Esp Jonah and his sidekick Splett, they are my favorite duo.

I've been kind of binging on Veep now that Silicon Valley is done for the season, and it's hysterical.

Yeah  :lol

BTW, this is pretty cool.  Silicon Valley writer and co-producer Dan Lyons is giving a talk/town hall meeting at my wife's workplace in September.  I am trying to weasel my way into attending it.

Jonah is great. He really grows on you as his character develops. I really like Kent Davison (how can you not like Gary Cole?) and Ben Cafferty as well.

Jonah is also my fav character, his pairing in later seasons make for an unstoppable combo. In fact every time I think of them or just see them on screen I start giggling.

I just finished Silicon Valley. Amazing and hilarious show. My favorite character is Gilfoye.

And agreed 100%. It's funny because it's something I could've imagined my friends and I doing back in high school.  :lol

Started season 5 of Veep last night. I started dozing off somewhere around episode 5 and missed a chunk that I'm going to have to rewatch. Is Jonah running for Congress?!
