And post the song and artist, for Pete's sake.  :)

"Meet the new boss, same as the old boss." Won't Get Fooled Again, The Who.

The first thing that came to mind was "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make."  The Beatles - "The End"

"Sometimes I lose sight of where i'm going
Fanned by a flame I can't remember
But distant lights still burn bright
And the road goes on forever"

Fates Warning - "The Road Goes on Forever"

It's not quite the ending lyric, but the last verse of Metallica's "Damage, Inc." is pretty cool:

"Fuck it all and fucking no regrets
Never happy ending on these dark sets
All's fair for Damage Inc., you see
Step a little closer if you please"

"Forever more, into the night, blistering" - Dream Theater - "Constant Motion"

"Spread before you is your soul
So forever hold the dreams within our hearts
Through nature's inflexible grace
I'm learning to live"

Dream Theater - "Learning to Live"
"There's a bass solo in a song called Metropolis where I do a bass solo."  John Myung

"AND THE TREES ARE ALL KEPT EQUAL BY HATCHET, AXE, AND SAW"..    Rush - The Trees
You can do a lot in a lifetime if you don't burn out too fast, you can make the most of the distance, first you need endurance first you've got to last....... NP

"My lifeblood spills over..." - Neil Peart (from Rush's 2112) -or "We have assumed control" if we want to consider that)

"This neverworld which you desire is only in your mind." -John Petrucci (from DT's Voices)

"Who was dragged down by the stone?" -Roger Waters (from Pink Floyd's Dogs)

I love the whole final passage of that song and almost included it, but considered it a bit too long for the spirit of this thread.

Townsend's?

That was totally unintentional!  :)

“We move in circles
Balanced all the while
On a gleaming razor's edge
A perfect sphere
Colliding with our fate
This story ends where it began”

If I have to post the song and artist, I’m clearly on the wrong forum.
People figured out that the white thing that comes out of cows' titties could be drunk, and the relation between sweet desires and women's bellies growing up for 9 months. It can't be THAT hard to figure out how a trumpet works.”

"You're on your own until the end.  There was a choice, but now it's gone.
I said you wouldn't understand.  Take what's yours, and be damned."

Duke's Travels ~ Genesis

What can I say...my shuffle is on a Genesis kick right now.  I'm not complaining.

Keeping with the Genesis theme:

"There's an angel standing in the sun
And he's crying with a loud voice
"This is the supper of the mighty one"
Lord of Lords, King of Kings
Has returned to lead his children home
To take them to the new Jerusalem"

Sticking with the same album as the opening lyrics thread since it's the best lyrical album ever produced...

"And the sunlight flares through a curtain's tear, shuffling its beams as if in nervous anticipation...of another day..."

It's one of the best endings of any song in rock history altogether (lyrics and music).
