Takes a pretty damn good band to have 4 different albums get a similar amount of votes for their best album  :hat
on par with the anguish one would have from getting unconsensually bent over and buttloved.

I went with SFAM, but 6DOIT and FII are close behind. Why is FII so underrated by so many, it's superb!

SFAM. That and Images and Words are in my top 10 of all time (5 and 8 I think :O). I despise Awake and really like SDOIT.

I love FII but it's not their best album.

I'd put it as my 3rd or 4th favourite. It's a damn good album and I'm one of its biggest supporters, but I'm not sure how many people would put it first, considering the competition. But I'll join your FII fanclub for sure :hat

Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

I agree with Blob with almost all things DT. Let's make a club, the "We hate Awake and love FII" club.

I voted on Octavarium cause I was in an "octavarium" week, but this is a hard question cause DT is very diverse. I like SDOIT a lot, a lot.....and Awake too, sometimes even TOT, but it depends a lot on the mood. I dunno, probably stick with Octavarium, with SDOIT following it really close.

For ME it's 6 degrees by a MILE, but without question the Top4 are

6DOIT
SFAM
I+W
AWAKE

at least this forum has enough collective taste to get those right.

I find it humorous that neither WDADU or SC have a single vote, and those are the two albums being debated in another topic.

Hmm. I went with Awake, I find it the most pleasurable to listen to, at any time. I abstained from voting for BC&SL simply because I believe I'm still in a rabid fanboy stage. Top three would probably go Awake -> I&W -> BC&SL at the moment.

Honestly, all of these damn polls ask of me to split hairs. I fucking love Dream Theatre.

this is a single choice question, so i choose awake.

but except the sound quality and upsetting cover of "when day and dream unite", it is a gorgeous album,
especially the song afterlife.
