the only thrice songs i think i'd consider dark are like... the lion and the wolf, and maybe child of dust? my definition of dark is a bit skewed though

Yeah I'd call Child of Dust dark, I guess you could call Beggars dark too, on a lyrics/subject level. But in the end what matters is that it's a fucking great song, my favorite Thrice song by far, and it's good that mike liked it more than Bolsters

Sent one of the best songs that got sent in my v1. (nothing that got sent by one of the participants here of course

I dunno what my favorite thrice song is. they operate on 9/10 a lot but I can't say they have one amazing standout song or anything, at least to me.

To me, Beggars and Daedalus are my one and two, pretty easily.. Like, they have tons of great songs, but nothing that reaches the brilliance of those two songs. Red Sky kinda comes close, but not quite.

Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns was mine.

Maybe "dark" isn't the right word; it's more forelorn and fatalistic. Those lyrics, of inevitable death and destruction really paint a picture for me. It's the sound of a man giving up, and even love isn't strong enough to stop that.

The perfect song. I'll send soon. But I'm happy you enjoyed Billie. That song is seriously the most haunting song I know. And it's still relevant today.

Pretty sure you guys hate me right now but I haven't had a single chance to even begin the listening until now. I had preparations and rehearsals for my music academy final show, plus a concert these days. But now it shouldn't be too bad.. I think.

I'll have a good listen to the stuff now and then tomorrow again, so hopefully in a couple of days I'll have the results up.
