Do you want to share any specifics? I'll admit, this has me interested.
Well, looking through my history, I revisited post-Catch 33 Meshuggah, Mastodon, Gojira, BTBAM, Haken, Protest the Hero, Devin Townsend, Threshold, Thrice, and The Dear Hunter. Checked out Ihsahn, Seventh Wonder, Enslaved, Leprous, Thank You Scientist, The Sword, Amorphis, The Ocean, Solstafir, Diablo Swing Orchestra, Cloudkicker, Tesseract, Headspace, David Maxim Micic, Carnivool, Animals as Leaders, Redemption, Closure in Moscow, and Thy Catafalque.
Also, Caligula's Horse and Flying Colors.
From that list, I noted down to look further into a grand total of: Cloudkicker, The Sword, and Solstafir. The last of which makes sense as the one area of metal that I have sampled and liked but not explored is post-metal / sludge metal stuff (Isis, Cult of Luna, Neurosis, Boris).
And I was reminded of how spectacular Mastodon's debut was. Even back when I gave the band any time of day, I thought it was their best album, and the only one that really struck a nerve with me, but I completely gave up on them at the time of Crack the Skye and just forgot it (the debut) and they existed. Revisiting it, and checking out their newer stuff, it's remarkable how tame and boring and mass-market they became, even as early as Blood Mountain.
Fluffy, I would definitely give you wacky shit. Do a roulette, please.
Probably this, I'd just send weird shit
That might be the best strategy, actually.
I have no plans to do one anytime soon.
