So here is our first Iron Maiden survivor spinoff, which will be the album survivor. The process is just like the song survivors; we'll eliminate albums one by one by voting them out. The results of this survivor will have no bearing on the results of the main survivor.
____________
I imagine that the majority of voters will be gunning for the 90s albums first. But I think there's a split opinion among Maiden fans about whether the early 90s Bruce albums or the late 90s Blaze albums are weaker. Personally, I think The X Factor is extraordinarily underrated and is actually a top 5 Iron Maiden album. I don't think as highly of Virtual XI, but I also don't find it bad by any stretch—I think it's the second-strongest 90s album. There's only one Iron Maiden album that I don't think of as a particularly good album, and it's their 1992 effort. I think it has two very good songs in the title track and Afraid to Shoot Strangers, and several other good ones like Be Quick or Be Dead, Wasting Love and sleeper tune Judas Be My Guide. But it also has Maiden's three worst songs IMO: Chains of Misery, The Apparition and Weekend Warrior, and several others that aren't particularly great. So my vote goes to
Fear of the Dark
