Very enjoyable progressive hard rock. Getting some David Bowie vibes from the vocals.
Always too soon, always too late, always in between.

Still listening to Therion's "Beloved Antichrist".

Combine the feel of "The Astonishing" (and add another disc) and the style of "Vovin" and that's how it feels to me.  I like it a lot.

The Flower Kings: Flower Power (Disc 2)

While I'm at this stage of digesting these new-to-me Flower Kings albums, and Garden of Dreams has firmly lodged itself as a new favourite of mine, I decided to spin just Disc 2 of Flower Power to start my evening. When listening to the whole thing, it can be easy to lose attention by the time Disc 2 comes along.

Rolo Tomassi - Time Will Die and Love Will Bury It: Yep, another AOTY contender so far along with Orphaned Land, just trying to list the highlights and already end up with like half of the songs. Cannot wait to see some of these songs live in a few weeks.

Faith No More - Angel Dust: I see the problem now, you guys have tried to send me the most metal stuff off this album two times around now, but turns out that there's way better songs on the album in the less heavy stuff. Also 100% sure I've heard Midlife Crisis on some playstation game, probably need for speed or GTA.

Between the Buried and Me - Automata I: And here's AOTY contender #3, probably soon to be joined by Rivers of Nihil. Will have to wait ranking this one until the second half of the album is released but so far so good, not a single bad track on here and Yellow Eyes could in time be up there with some of BTBAM's best. Also, Condemned to the Gallows will probably become my new song to use to introduce friends of heavy music to the band, very focused song and lots of tasty heaviness.

Allman Brothers Band - Shades of Two Worlds

First time sitting down with an Allman Brothers album, and ho lee crap. It might be the whiskey talking but I'm enjoying the hell out of this.  :lol
From a Mega Man Legends island jamming power metal to a Walrus listening to black metal, I like your story arc.

Earlier this morning.  Not being a huge JP fan back in the day, I was impressed.

From what I remember from just this one listen, Land of Sunshine, Midlife Crisis, smilelobber and if not for that horrendous children singing part, Be Aggressive. Malpractice isn't far behind though, that song has really grown on me since I heard the BTBAM cover and now heard it in context of the album.

Hey... we've forgiven Tim for his mis-deeds towards Winger, so I better get a 'pass' :lol.  It's not like I wasn't a fan because I didn't like them, I just wasn't into the heavy end of heavy metal back in the 80s - Accept, Motörhead, Megadeth, Slayer etc... none of that hit my CD player for some reason.

I asked to you a question for which I have no easy answer. Probably Land Of Sunshine and Malpractice, with Caffeine and smilelobber as next choices. Kindergarten, RV, Midlife Crisis, Smaller and Smaller are other songs I still listen to very rarely.

EDIT: I had a hard time remembering A Small Victory and Crack Hitler, but I'm enjoying them relistening now, although they have never been my favourites. Great album from start to finish.
