I've heard very good things about that Weedpecker album

I'm swamped with roulette albums so mostly listening to those right now. Wasn't very impressed with the Oceans of Slumber lead single but I will probably check it out if I've finished my higher priority list of new albums, aaaand I have never heard of Andrew W.K.

Listening to this right now based on Parama's Zeal & Ardor comment and it's great! Definitely hear similarities in the vocals, production and some of the electronic stuff.

Last few days

Oceans of Slumber - The Banished Heart: This is really growing on me. It's more on the dark and depressing side than their last album but it works. I just love her voice

This is looking like it could end up in my top 10 of the year.

Crippled Black Phoenix - I, Vigilante: Why did I wait so long to listen to this?!?! I know this is regarded as one of, if not the, best album they've released, but damn, this hit me pretty hard. I will be downloading this asap.

Aenaon - Hypnosophy: Can't remember if one of you guys played something off this in a plug.dj session, or if Spotify recommended it to me. Either way, this was pretty cool and some more great extreme metal with horns

Cancer Bats - Dead Set on Living: Man, I haven't listened to this band for at least a few years. I just had the urge

For anyone who has never heard them, check out their cover of Sabotage by The Beastie Boys, it's incredible.

Thy Catafalque - Roka Hasa Radio: Another solid release by this band. I don't love it as much as Meta but it's still damn good.

Larry and His Flask - Hobo's Lament: This band are just so much fun and one of the best live bands I've ever seen. They've got a new album coming out this year and I just had the urge to listen through their back catalogue.
