It sometimes reminds me of David Bowies crazier stuff (It's No Game Pt1, also Fripp und gtr).

Am I weird if I find this music tranquilizing in a very strange way?

It's king gizzard and the lizard wizard - 12 bar bruise, their debut album. Haven't listened to them but people tend to praise their newer stuff, like Flying Microtonal Banana and Nonagon Infinity.

Jon.. you were right to keep that Motley Crue compilation image small.  It's a fairly wimpy greatest hits package.

BTW... I tried the Barock Project.  Pretty decent.  Might give it second spin to see if it impresses, or just stays in the 'good but not wow'd' category.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Awesome  :metal I kind of feel they perfected the style they had going on Lore, it's definitely among the top releases this year so far for me.
