And the roulette stuff goes on...
Aura: I was quite into this during the first song, thinking I had finally found a black metal album I could enjoy, because of that great play between calmed, beautiful folky parts and the brutal sections, mostly when the flute appeared on these. But then the rest of the song emulated the same formula, and the drumming was like 50% blasts beats if not more and it got repetitive and... dunno, couldn't even finish it lel. Felt I was listening to the same song over and over. Not my thing I guess.
Holy Fire: Interesting how the album in general is pretty different from Inhaler. Good stuff.
Finally We Are No One: Been meaning to get into this for a while, because I love the first three tracks and... it's kinda great? I mean, would have liked more songs with prominent vocals, as I feel several of these instrumental tracks aren't really all that interesting on their own, but in general it was a very interesting listen. Will definitely return to it, and prob check their previous album too one day.
Cold Roses: Eh, boring and dull
dad music americana/country stuff. I guess they're way better live, since their song I got in my roulette was excellent.
Kind of Blue: Finally trying to get into some classic jazz, going the easy way with this one. And yeah it's pretty cool, quite atmospheric and chill and not as meandering as I had feared. Will definitely revisit.
