eryn non dae.: man, this has a strong case of the valley effect. first and last tracks are absolutely killer. second and sixths tracks are both pretty good. middle three tracks are just kinda there and kinda meh. not bad but not great either. they're like less than a third of the album in total though and for the most part i enjoy this quite a bit. but especially that first and last track. i guess this album can come off as a little colorless, would be my biggest criticism. it's very grey.
keelhaul: at first i wasn't really that into this one but, it's kind of a patient album and it grows on you? the production is kind of meh but there's a lot of cool instrumental stuff going on here, and i dig how the album ends with a droney track followed by a chill instrumental. i still think these guys would be a better band without vocals but there's not as many vocal bits here as on their second album, it feels like.
menace ruine: okay i just really love this. it's absolutely, utterly oppressive in the best way. i just love that guitar sound so much. and the folky bits give it a bit of flavor too; it doesn't really feel like any track gets lost in the shuffle, though the three tracks between the title track and the closer are admittedly not as strong as the rest, probably due to being less loud. i dunno. i like this though, it's good
