One of the great prog rock albums
Most definitely. Snowgoose is the album that seems to get most attention, but this is where it's at for me. Easily in my all time top 20. This is right up in there with Close to the Edge, Going For the One and Banco's debut as my favourite prog album. Besides Lattimer's usual sublime playing, Bardens is all over this. Airborn is absolutely gorgeous. Classic album.
Today I played
Golden Earring - Eight Miles High.
It's nice to meet another Camel and Banco fan here. Snowgoose is another great one. I discovered Banco and PFM through ProgArchives. That site opened me up to so many different bands.
Another Camel fane here, though Nude is my favourite, with the Pressure Points live album.
There are a few Camel fans here. All there stuff is terrific. My favourite album is Moonmadness, but pretty much all their albums feature at least one stellar track. A couple of my favourites: Ice (I Can See Your House From Here), Uneven Song (Raindances) and Nimrondel/The Procession/White Rider (Mirage).
@ Progsnob Nice to see another fan of Italian Prog. Banco are a top 5 band for me. Their debut would be in my top 10 albums, possibly even top 5. I gave Kevshmev a heads up about them a while back, but they weren't his thing. Are you familiar with Museo Rosenbach or Il Balleto Di Bronzo? Zaruthstra and Ys are essential albums if you're into Italian prog. Agree that Prog archives is a great site for discovering new music. If you're not familiar with the Eloy albums I mentioned in your thread re. 5 album runs, have a listen to the links I posted and then checkout the reviews on Progarchives. You'll see there are many others who share my appreciation of that run.
This evening I listened to
Whitewillow - Sacrament
Very laid back melancholy pastoral prog in a similar vein to Anglagard.
