I'm sure I listened to bits of it back in 2015 and wasn't massively impressed. Listening through the whole album yesterday, I did enjoy it a lot more and am definitely going to revisit. Listening to it straight after that album by The Ocean, they are actually fairly similar, especially some of the vocals

Easily one of my all-time favourite albums

maybe even my #1. The fact that I rarely listen to it has probably caused it to age so well. There are a few albums I used to consider favourites but I simply burned out on them.

Also happy to see that Transcendence held up way better this time than the first time I listened to it, it's damn solid.

Not as great as the ones either side, but a very good album nonetheless. Title track is a corker as you say. I really love Midnight (you won't be sleeping ) too

Beardfish: The Void

Probably my least-listened-to of the 5-disc Beardfish box I bought last May. Beardfish goes prog metal, certainly in the first few tracks. Later on there's a bit more of the typical Beardfish sound. The 30-second Introduction is narrated by Andy Tillison of The Tangent. Rikard Sjoblom returned the favour by narrating a great passage in the Overture to The Tangent's Le Sacre du Travail.

Got a spot in my DTF Top 50 - possibly the best music relative to the album cover in history Still have my original cassette.

Had to come into work this Saturday morning and went through the last couple of pages for something new to bring up on youtube while I'm by myself and picked this one. I'm a casual Metal Church fan and I always liked Blessing in Disguise and some of the newer stuff but never heard this one. I'm glad I did. Halfway through and this also is probably the best Metal Church I've heard just going by my first listen. Good stuff. Really good actually.

Definitely less dated and more experimental than their debut. Featuring collabs from Brian Eno and Robert del Naja. Damn this is good.

damn. i love it

i think the best part is that they don't take themselves toooo seriously (earth tomb is really goofy and some of the vocals seem to be playing up the cheese factor a little) but at the same time they're still writing this great heavy stuff and incorporating a lot of weirder elements into a cohesive whole, and it just... all works

Have put this on twice now (while reading), the music itself isn't that interesting but the sounds is so... intimate. Really liked the mood it created, defintely going to put this on more often.

This really clicked now, love the use of screams.
