Well, already made a little summer listening list, and it includes (finally) catching up with some roulette albums.

this is pretty solid too but definitely inferior to lifewoven. too much of a focus on piano + the female vocals, feels like there's less of the cool instrumental chemistry as a result. still has its moments but it didn't grab me nearly as often.

so yeah gotta figure out if i can find a physical copy of lifewoven now lol rip
:metal I personally prefer Bridging Realms but I like Lifewoven a lot too. I wanted to get the cassette for Bridging Realms cause it looked cool as fuck but shipping is 3 times as much as the price of the product sadly. Messaged them and they said there probs won't be an EU shop until at least next year.  Also this cover is fucking gorgeous, it used to be my laptop background

Some really evoking atmospheres, not too sure about some of the goblin grunts, I might get used to them sometime...
I actually don't even like this album. I love the song I sent you and I think the one coming afterwards is passable, but I'm personally not into the album at all. Very misleading title-track :P

Keeps getting better. Can't really begin to name certain songs cause they all have something amazing in them, my favourite right now is probably Only Twin though, by a hair

Been on an Armored Saint binge over the last week, while squeezing in some early Ryche.

A lot of work today means a lot of tunes:

Judas Priest - Sad Wings of Destiny
Clutch - Strange Cousins from the West
Metal Church - Hanging in the Balance
Dream Theater - Summerfest 1992 Milwaukee (radio broadcast)
Iced Earth - Festivals of the Wicked
Testament - Brotherhood of the Snake
Alter Bridge - The Last Hero

It really is. I was on vacation in Seattle this summer, and found it for a couple bucks at Easy Street Records. It's out-of-print and expensive to buy on Amazon or eBay, but I got a lucky score at Easy Street. Couldn't believe it.

It's amazing what you find sometimes in a used music store. I remember years back I wanted to buy the cd Stand Tall from Killer Dwarfs. Well if you look on Amazon, the cd can range in cost from $400-$600. I didn't want it that badly. But low and behold I found a copy in a music store for $25. Much better deal!

Got a spot in my DTF Top 50 - possibly the best music relative to the album cover in history :lol    Still have my original cassette.  :metal

Seriously! We only have a few used shops around where I am these days, and most are overpriced. But every so often you find a gem for cheap. Believe it or not, as many times as I have been in Seattle, that was my only trip to Easy Street Records, and stupid me, the big Mother Love Bone fan, didn't realize on the side of the building, Jeff Ament had repainted the iconic MLB mural. Had I literally gone past the front door and looked right, it would have been there. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut I didn't.  :lol Just gives me another reason to go back...  :tup

So I've finally compiled a list, on Spotify, containing all (as well as memory serves me) of the albums I've been meaning to check out over the last few years. I've sorted it alphabetically by album name and these are the most recent four I've listened to. Quite a good bunch  :tup

Coincidentally, I was actually listening to The Ocean, on my ipod, on my way home from work earlier. I'm really digging this band.

Bit of a Godspeed run. Even their worst album is still pretty good. I'll let you decide which one that is.
