Been listening to a lot of Moon Hooch lately and currently have This Is Cave Music playing. For anyone not familiar it's two sax players and a drummer that originally started busking in NYC and their music is pretty much dance music but with woodwind instrumentation. Too Many Zooz seem to be the other one people know and they've actually collaborated at least once.

Some sample songs for those interested:

Making my annual attempt to get through this album today:

I'm about two minutes into The Ancient right now, which is usually the part that makes me give up.

technical death metal, sure, but also quite atmospheric
i dig it, a fair bit actually

shame the album ends with a 10 minute cover song tho lol, doesn't feel like a proper ending but whatever

yeah this is better than puzzle, feels more varied and gets actually pretty heavy at times, and has decent emotional potency to it as well.
not rushing to buy it or anything but i might consider it in the future

I just wanna say that the little bit at 4:22 - 4:28 in The Most Cursed of Hands is probably the highlight of the album for me. Shame it's so short.

^ Are you familiar with Act III? That part is a reprise of one of their best songs ever (Mustard Gas), which is on that album. It's probably their most theatrical/musical-fit song ever, which isn't an easy task considering their back catalogue.
people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

Oh wow. It's only now hit me that it's actually a reprise from that song, and I've listened to Act III quite a fair bit. I knew it was reprised in He Said He Had A Story but I didn't connect these two at all.

So far I'm the least familiar with Act II from Evicted onward. There's just so much music to digest on that album. The Bitter Suite I&II is probably my favourite TDH song so far though.
