Kind of like a Priest/Manowar/Virgin Steele mashup. Stumbled upon it 0n Spotify. From 2013. I'm just finishing the last song now. The 12:50 long Battle Of Thermopylae. Awesome tune. Very Maiden inspired. Check it out, bro!

Listening to it now.  Sounds like a mixture of Iron Maiden and Running Wild

Cool. I really enjoyed my listen to this album. Now I fully expect Brent to chime in and say he rated it at 70%!  ;D Seems I've been on the wrong end of music opinions lately!  :lol
Gonna check out the previous album. First song so far is excellent.

Music to... yeah :lol : I mean this is basically chick-fucking music, but dunno how serious it actually is - with bae we tried making out to Sex (I'm A), and we just ended up laughing cuz it's too ridiculous  :rollin But the beats are dope.
Catch Without Arms: Finally listening to this one! I love El Cielo so was curious about this record, and I can see it's quite more direct and... commercial? Not really, but it's not as weird as the other record. I like it.

The Slip: Yup, solid record. First half has some great bangers, the other one some interesting ambient pieces. I think the best part of it all is that Trent gave away this album for free, back in 2008.
Terrestrials: Interesting drone collab by Ulver and Sunn O))), very textured and detailed. Kinda boring at times tho, but it has some sax so whatever.

Marillion - F.E.A.R.
Pretty decent album, good but not great. I think it will grow on me over the next few listens though. Still prefer the Fish era albums though.

Devil Doll - Eliogabulus
I love this album. Still can't decide which is my favourite out of this The Girl Who Was Death or Dies Irae. All 3 are awesome. :hefdaddy

You listen to live albums??

I don't play this album nearly enough. In fact, I'm going to pull it off the rack right now to listen to on my way to work tomorrow.

Recorded in Toronto, according to Rudy Sarzo's book.

Been listening a few times to The Similitude of a Dream by Neal Morse Band this weekend and this morning.

It"s a really good album but for me it does not really live up to the hype.

1. I can't really get into the concept (it's ok but too religious for me)
2. Couple of songs I don't like and might want to skip

The many songs thatare good are excellent though and it would make a stellar one disc (might want to do a one disk version)

There have been two good double disc concept albums this year one is Astonishing and the other is really good but not as good.

Always liked that Beggars and Thieves. Not a classic, but a good album.

Not my favourite Ten album, start of the decline for me.

Love in the Time of Science: Pretty nice atmospheric pop album. Isn't very innovative or anything, but very enjoyable.
Part the Second: Definitely my favourite MotW album, very chill and atmospheric, no growls or blastbeats at all. Even some mathy rock guitar playing, which i'm not fond of, but overall it's a nice album.

Aquaria: Industrial R&B? Solid album, but kinda forgettable.
Pink: Yeah this album is great - I'm blown away at how many styles and sounds the band delivers mantaining the same lineup and instruments. These damn japanese. Also listening to the second album of the deluxe edition, very good!

I like her. I first discovered her on The Two Towers soundtrack. She reminded me of Bjork a bit, but with a better voice.

Ye, probably because they're both Icelandic or something :P

tbh I prefer this album to any bjork I've listened to.

a bit difficult to get through in one sitting due to how complex a lot of the music is but, it's cool
not a fan of the tracks with vocals near the end though, just don't like that at all
