And the Circus Leaves Town...: I think the word that best describes this album is: uninspired. Has neither the catchyness nor the groove nor the intensity of Welcome to Sky Valley.
At the end of the day, the songs just aren't very good. Nothing really comes to life. I like the last track though.
Ye it's good, despite half of it being silence :P

I think this is the only Dir en Grey album I've not heard. Any good?

I like it, but then my tastes run a bit counter to most people. Makes great Halloween music

These guys are really a genre to themselves, Heavy and strange avant garde through most of it yet a few sprinkles of pop, techno, death metal and dare I say it, video game music thrown in.

I don't think there's a genre that they haven't touched on at some point or another.

This is what I get for stalling roulette albums forever, got Everlasting Light in my first roulette, gave it a good rating but only gave it a genuine try today. I'm blown away. A lot of the songs on here I find better than Everlasting Light though.

Seeing them live on the 20th anyway on the co-headlining tour with Alcest, can't wait

In my ongoing effort to listen to old albums that I may only ever have heard radio singles from, I've listened to the first two Queen albums this morning.  So awesome.

I have been meaning to do that myself with a few big name bands (Queen included) - too busy chasing down rarities  ::)

I'm working through.  I'm on A Night at the Opera now.  There are some really unbelievable moments that if you only know the singles, you're really missing out on.

So this finally appeared on Spotify :azn: I really love it so far, quite a bit more intense than their previous album. The screams are really amazing.

This is the first time I've listened to anything with significant harsh vox in a while. This is one of those albums that I never think about how good it is except when I listen to it.

begin again is probably the best track though there were a few others here i kind of liked, but also a fair number i just did not like at all. probably won't revisit this, pop abums are usually like this for me, one or two good songs, could live without the rest

i listened to this whole album and i still wouldn't be able to tell you what this band sounds like
so it's kind of incohesive, yeah, but in a fun way, i kinda dig it. may listen to it again or may check their debut since that seems to be the most well-received in general from what i've seen
For what it's worth I probably prefer this to any of their other albums, though I'm less familiar with them, but I wouldn't be surprised if you favoured the earlier stuff.

Kind of what I expected.

Beautiful Broken - Heart

This latest album is a mix of new tracks and re-worked deep cuts from 1980-1983. Ann Wilson's voice is still . . . freaking . . . . PHENOMENAL. I mean seriously. Sounds half her age.

Just listened to the new Radiohead album, it's good!

Definitely will look into this band more after having been impressed with this one and OKC

I was disappointed in it following the awesome Flying Dog.
