Yeah it remains awesome. Heard it 3 times now.

It's so so much better than Heart of Oak, it's unreal

Musically, this is pretty cool. The songs sound pretty good, noisy and lo-fi without forcing it. The vocal performance is just worthless though. It's like they pulled some assclown with zero charisma off the street.

small handful of albums i've gotten this year I'd give 9.0 or higher, probably even smaller than last year.

and this is one of 'em. so good.

i'm not sure this is really treading any new ground for thy catafalque but i mean it's entertaining to listen to nonetheless.

tried giving this one a spin myself but.

what's this awful electronic track doing here.

why does surrogate fade out in the middle only to just abruptly cut back in

i don't really like the singer's voice in general but there's barely even any vocal melody here it feels like

i don't understand the appeal of mathcore

there's the one obvious standout track but the rest of the album is pretty enjoyable too, if not a bit indistinguishable when you haven't heard it a ton

This might seriously be the greatest live album I've ever heard. It even rivals Metallica's S&M!!

On first notice, not nearly as good as AYKM?N but I'm still very happy with this, seems like it could be a huge grower.

One standout song in particular is "Not Everything Is Said", it's one of my favorite songs of theirs right now.

So Parama-style I'll start giving my thoughts on every album I post here, so...

The Slip: Good NIN album, feels like With Teeth part 2 at times, but with more of the distortion of Year Zero.
Hail to the Thief: Probably a bit too long, but it's tied with their last one as my 2nd fav of their albums.
Love in the Time of Science: Very nice dream pop/art pop with some trip-hop and alt rock leanings. Very atmospheric and lovely. Voice similar to Bjork except better :P
Music to Make Love to...: Yeah this is basically sex music :lol Dunno how serious this project was, but Mike Patton doing trip-hop-ish erotic music is actually good. Nice female vocals, I dig the beats quite a bit.

a bit hard to tell the songs apart atm but i at least somewhat like the general sound of this. this is more an experiment than anything for me though
also the little bits of info alongside the lyrics in the booklet are nice, except the one in french hey screw off
