David Walliman - Evolving Seeds of Glory. Excellent instrumental prog but there's a direct Satriani rip in there...

DGM - the Passage

Cruzh - Cruzh

Andy Timmons - Theme From A Perfect World

Catching up on a few 2016 releases.

Volbeat is just standard Volbeat to be honest. It sounds like all their other albums, but it's good fun. I totally burnt out on these guys and haven't really listened to them in over a year.

Any Witchcraft fans on here? Don't think I've seen them really mentioned.

I've only actually heard The Alchemist, which is a fuckin' great album. I really have no idea why I haven't heard any more of their albums!!

Didn't even realize it until today, but Goat released a new album on Friday, Requiem. Anyone else heard of them? Hard to classify them, but they are experimental--world music, with some 70s Prog, world fusion. Interesting for sure, but they have some catchy tunes, not lyrically, but musically

So I'm listening to Goat's Requiem

this should be a fusion I dig, but... it ends up feeling kind of slow and not very memorable. i guess, also, i don't really like the female vox here much...

hmm. this is alright. it's got a vaguely spacey feel but it doesn't feel as ethereal as something like alrakis or midnight odyssey.
pretty solidly intense though. might check it out further.

i need to check out more stoner metal i guess.

this was alright. maybe a bit too fun for me ('cause i'm depressing) but, solid. dunno if i'd listen to it again. the fourth track or so was pretty good.

eehh... listened to the first four tracks then skipped to the closer. second and last tracks were decent but the rest bored me. bleed is actually the song that gave me a really bad first impression of the band, which, hasn't changed
