Their last album has some electronics, and my friends say the live blackjazz album is better than the studio version :corn
the live blackjazz album doesn't have deathtrance or omen so I doubt that but I plan on giving it a spin at some point  :corn

Bohren & der Club of Gore - Sunset Mission

Such an amazing record, it will probably end up on my top 50 by year's end.

When I get back home, I'll spin some of my very favorites to celebrate my birthday  :metal

the biggest difference between this and slow forever seems to be that this album feels... cleaner, soundwise, though it doesn't have the southern rock flair that slow forever has in a few places

it's also not as bloated, though, so

i dig it stylistically for sure, would probably have to give it a lot of listens to really determine if i "liked" it though on an overall, which was the same as slow forever so yeeaaahh. gonna listen to eater of birds too but i want at least one of this band's albums in my next purchase

again hard to judge this band's music on just one listen but i'm inclined to like this a bit more than gin, it has more of a "roughness" to it
though fundamentally they aren't particularly different albums and odds are i'll get both of them at some point...
dunno what it is about this band, i can't really say i "love" any songs on slow forever or that it's even that memorable but i do enjoy listening to it a fair bit regardless and that makes me want to check out their other stuff, so, yeah, cool

gonna listen to sacul's EP now finally also

Listened to David Bowie's 'Hours...' while writing an essay. First time hearing it. Found quite a bit to like on here. That album art is way to cluttered though

Hire me. I'm talentless but malleable.

From the ocean comes the notion that the realise lies in rhythm. The rhythm of vision is dancer, and when you dance you´re always on the one. From the looking comes to see, wondrous realise real eyes....

Meytal - Alchemy :
Not really my style of music ( Kinda Linkin Park ish with some good heaviness and a little proggy elements in it )  but it has its moments and not really bad over all singer not bad at all , I was hoping for more prog metal sound but she is a really good drummer hopefully next one is more prog metal.

Myrath - Legacy :
I really liked it at first listen I can hear the newer Symphony X riffs and even guitar tone threw out this album but still have there own style in there but that's ok with me I know they are huge fans and started of covering them anyway.

I really disliked the Myrath on first listen, I found it very "pop-y". When I listened again I punched myself for being an idiot. Excellent album.

the dear hunter: i like this, dunno if i love this though. i'm not really taken in by the theatrics, and it feels like there's a fair bit of wasted space on this album. there's no stretch of songs all in a row that i really like either; i like the old haunt, i like waves, i like the bitter suite iv and v, i like king of swords, i like if all goes well, i like wait. some of a night on the town is pretty good, the squeaky wheel is alright, ouroboros starts strong but ends anticlimactically. it's like every time i start to really get into it, something happens to undercut my enjoyment, and it definitely should've been shorter than it is
hammock: i got exactly what i expected out of this album and i consider that a very good thing
unexpect: man, i wish i liked this more than i do. what it ends up feeling like to me is a collection of ideas with nothing tying them together. and some of the ideas are cool but far more of them are just "ehh, that's pretty weird i guess" or "not really feeling it" so i can't enjoy it much on that level either. i want more from this than it's giving me, i suppose. aside from the two non-metal tracks it's hard to tell anything apart too. and i don't like the talky bits on feasting fools or psychic jugglers at all.

Been listening to a band that's pretty similar to Bent Knee and it reminded me of how good Shiny Eyed Babies is

So good. Still have to check out the new album, how is it?
people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

absurdly disappointing. most every song on shiny eyed babies is better than the best song on say so, and there's just. so much wasted space. eve is abysmal, especially
