Quite a good impression it left on me. Although it felt kinda same-y all the way through, I could see myself getting much into it - I hope it helps me appreciate jazz more.
Jazz is one of those genres I kinda scoffed at for years, but slowly got into, and now I really like it. Especially Miles Davis and Bohren helped me get into the genre, but it was Kamasi Washington's The Epic that really got me hooked. I still have plenty to check out in the genre, and I will probably never be an expert, but I like the genre now to the extent where I can put on a jazz album and really enjoy it. Apart from Sunset Mission, their album Black Earth is really good.
