I have had trouble getting into them.

Took me a long time for them to click too.  Was well worth the persistence though

I'm old. I don't have that much time! :lol
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

I don't mind the two Netherworld albums, never been able to get into their older stuff though.

So this just came out, any fans of his EP's should definitely check it out, it's good.
people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

Listening to some psychodelic/prog/weird/noise stuff that somehow always helps me to concentrate at work:

Laniakea - A Pot Of Powdered Nettles

Mothlite - The Flax Of Reverie

Stian Westerhus - Amputation

Still got the instrumental memory stick in the car

Marty Friedman - Dragons Kiss

Vinnie Moore - minds eye, time odyssey, meltdown. Three awesome albums, all sound different to each other. The neo classical one, the fusiony one, the widdly Rock one.

Michael Harris - Defence Mechanisms

Running Wild - Rapid Foray

:yarr :yarr :yarr  :metal :metal :metal

A couple of tracks into that one myself -  sounds good but Rolfy's voice is shot if that's the best they can get him sounding in the studio.

Strong second half to that album.  I have always found them inconsistent across an album but I love select tracks , esp in the Blazon Stone era.   I think this new one is one of their more consistent efforts.

Next up.........

I fear I am going to like the songs but struggle with the muddy production with this one if initial impressions are accurate.

Some Frontiers releases

King Company - Onr For The Road. Not bad. Closest comparison for me would be The Poodles.

Cruzh - st. Ok so far. Nothing earthshaking

DGM - too early to say. Not wowed yet

Also

Vicious Rumors - concussion protocol. A steaming turd of blandness.

I've known about the band for years, but I only just "discovered" them in the last year. I just can't put 'em down now.

I checked out the Cruzh on Spotify last night. Solid, but I agree nothing Earth shattering. I enjoyed it, but I'm not sure I'd return to it.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

My favourite albums by each of those bands. Moonmadness is a top 50 album for me, Airborn is simply gorgeous. The Show Must Go On is perhaps the most poignant song ever, given what was going on with Freddy's health when it was recorded.

Mirage used to be my favorite Camel album but I'm not sure right now, it's really close between it, Moonmadness and Snow Goose.
