@Sacul please njoy Casualties of Cool more thna you currently do
Well it grew a bit on me last listen so I'll revisit it often, but I still think it's a bit one-dimensional an album, and probably too long. Other than that, it's great :P

Dee Snider's son's band - starts off with some angst fuelled , punk influenced modern rock (not bad) but by the end of the 16 tracks it was a big bore.  Zzzzz.

I quite like it, I do feel that some parts rely a bit too much on Gavin Harrison's (amazing) drumwork to make them interesting though.

Was about to post this album cover myself. I'd say on initial listen that it's better than their last two albums (Gavin rejuvenated them a bit), but they still miss the mark of the good old days. They have some really great albums, like Variations on a Dream, Little Man and What We Have Sown. Their albums since has been mixed in quality, some good, some that are just kinda alright, but it seems normal for many bands to lose their spark 15-20 years into their career.

Listening to the Deluxe Edition (only one on Spotify). This is great, but I wished it wasn't so compressed.

Not everyone grows up to be an astronaut
Not everyone was born to be a king
Not everyone can be Freddy Mercury
Everyone can raise a glass and sing

Well, I haven't always been a perfect person

And I haven't done what mum and dad had dreamed
But on the day I die I'll say, "At least I fucking tried"
That's the only eulogy I need, that's the only eulogy I need.

i dunno why they wrote/recorded the first disc at all, it's not awful, but... it's not very good either.
second disc and 75% of the album is cool though

Finally giving these two a listen.

Really liking the orchestral parts in the Earthside album. I'm a sucker for that sort of thing.

Edit: Wow, I've just finished listening to A Dream in Static and that was one hell of a first listen. I can't believe this is their debut!! Really good first impression. As I mentioned before, the orchestral parts really work for me. I get a Haken vibe off some of these songs but I must admit this left a better first impression on me than any of the Haken albums. I'll see how it holds up on multiple listens but I have a good feeling about it.

I get the feeling these guys must have some money behind them from somewhere to produce a debut like this.

Probably their most chaotic record - I have no fucking clue what's going on here. I love Blinded by Blood tho.

This album is like... Ambient and trip-hop but also post-rock with modern electronics and a male/female duo. Quite atmospheric and relaxing.

Great "working from home" music.

Love it. Final Fantasy music is huge for me.

Do you only listen to the OST's or have you checked out things like The Black Mages, Distant Worlds, Overclocked Remixes etc?
