I might be mistaken. I could have sworn I saw a Porter Edition but I can't seem to confirm that. It's an interesting thing they've done, though. They are oak whiskey barrels that are then used to age a craft stout, and then re-reused for the caskmates.

We use herbs from our garden with 2 lemons cut in half inside. I saw this recipe 4 years ago and people go nuts about it.

I take the rine from the lemon and herbs mixed in the butter and rub it under the skin and above.

My wife made a chicken like that a couple weeks ago. Lemon and tarragon. I didn't really care for it. My chicken sandwiches all tasted like lemon.

You don't get a strong lemon to it. The herbs come through.

Ran my first 8K this morning and finished in 50 minutes. Playlist was:

Metallica- Spit out The Bone
Dream Theater- The Glass Prison
Alter Bridge- Metalingus
Porcupine Tree- Blackest Eyes (Arriving Somewhere... version)
Iron Maiden- Two Minutes to Midnight (Rock in Rio version)
Endochine- Can't Find A Way
The Winery Dogs- Devil You Know
Trivium- Chaos Reigns
Metallica- Dyer's Eve

Had to log in and work for about an hour, and now ready to spend the rest of today through Sunday eating, drinking, and making merry.
Photobucket sucks.

Great list of the songs I know, except PT. Seems like a total downer on the rest. That's the only Alter Bridge album I have/know, because Metalingus was Edge's theme music in WWE. :lol

You mean the test? It went fucking awesome because I passed!

I'm also interviewing for a job here in charlotte that is an incident response level 2 position and the interview was pretty much another Cisco test. I'm on the second round of interview where I meet the engineer's and other staff. It's a two hour interview on Tuesday. The hours are different, 3 overnight shifts and rotating weekends. The plus side is that it's double my pay I'll work only three days a week with rotating weekends, the downside is that I've never done overnights before.

Awesome! Congrats, bro! Ready to study for the next one?   ;)

Good luck with the interview. The night shift will be very difficult to acclimate to.  Trust me on that one.

I'm going start studying today actually.

Thanks! I know it's hard to get acclimated to, my girlfriend was an overnight ER nurse for years and she said it's tough as hell. Some people seem to have no issue though. One of my friends works overnights. She'll come home, sleep 3 hours, get up and go about her day and sleep at night if she isn't working. She has zero issue going back and forth.

Do what I did. Study for the ROUTE exam first. It's the hardest of the three, so get it out of the way. The routing protocols are pretty intense, especially BGP. Don't get me wrong. It's interesting to learn about but it's so many little details that you need to know. SWITCH is so much easier I think. That's what I'm taking Wednesday.

My sleeping is all screwed up now. I barely sleep during the week.

Good luck on the test!

I've been doing shift work for years and it definitely takes getting used to. I work some day shift, evening shifts and midnights. Coming off midnights and switching to days off is usually a big challenge. You have to play around with your sleep pattern a bit. I know on days off after midnights I will quite often wake up at 1 or 2 in the morning and stay up for a few hours. It can get quite screwy, but at this point I would be thrown for a loop just working Monday to Friday straight days

Thanks, JJ.

It totally messes with your circadian rhythm. It's not healthy at all either. I think if it was just a straight switch to nights permanently then the body would acclimate. Doing all of the bouncing around is much more arduous to endure. The first week I slept a total of 10 hours over the course of 5 days. It was horrible. I slept better on the weekend at least. However, I have comorbid insomnia so it actually makes that affliction even worse.

Despite knowing one, maybe two songs, Jr. wants to see Kansas.  I think primarily so he can hear Wayward Son live.  So tonight we're going to the Lyric in Baltimore to see them.  I looked at the set and I know 2 out of 24 songs.  One of which wouldn't hurt my feelings to never hear again (Dust in the Wind).  I'm going along to help navigate and be a team player, but I literally have next to zero interest in Kansas.  Hopefully they will prove me wrong and we'll be entertained beyond my expectations.

now, I don't know how the new lead singer is live but I've always loved seeing them live.  Though they are doing all of Leftoverture.  Check out that album Coz.  I bet you know a few more song from that album.

Dude how often are you here in Baltimore? We should catch up sometime.

Not very often, unfortunately.  It's about an hour and a half from home.  But we definitely should.  Anytime we're ever there, it's for something specific, where we're usually cutting it close, time-wise.  We're probably going to come down early enough to hit up a restaurant within walking distance of the Lyric, at least.

now, I don't know how the new lead singer is live but I've always loved seeing them live.  Though they are doing all of Leftoverture.  Check out that album Coz.  I bet you know a few more song from that album.

I bet you that I don't.  :lol  I just listened to What's on My Mind, the other "single" from Leftoverture.  Decent tune.  Never heard it before.  Here's the setlist they've been doing:

https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/kansas/2016/the-paramount-huntington-ny-33fa6c31.html

Ronnie Platt is the singer.  Used to be the singer of a Chicago suburb classic rock cover band.
