In past years, yes. This year it's being held over us as some sort of incentive to get early registrations for next year's Summit, which is pretty rotten, I think. It's kind of been an unwritten promise each year, to my understanding. I just want to know either way, so I know how to ration my PTO.

I am currently standing outside of a courtroom,   5ft away next to the guy who killed me dad.  He's leaning up against a 2nd  railing overlooking the first floor.  It'd be way too easy.

Damn Jay. Not sure what to say in regards to stuff like this. Are you both in the courthouse for something pertaining to the accident? I remember you talking about going to court for it a few years back. Is it still ongoing, or are you both just coincidentally at the courthouse?

Yea. Basically the dude was supposed to pay back a bit of money in restitution.. and hasn't been making payments.. and just recently filed to have the payments and wage garnishment stopped do to "hardship".

Mind you the guy makes over $120k a year.

Today was our 3rd time in court over this (this year), and we are going back on March 20 for more. Ironically that would be my dad's 62nd birthday.

Eric's pet fish died yesterday. Discovered it last night and told Eric this morning. Nothing had brought me to my emotional knees like watching my son experience grief. He's such a mature kid, so grown up in his he's processed it. Love him so much. But it broke my heart watching his heart break.

I remember when I had to put down my dog, Charlie.  That was tough, I had him for 15 years.

Oh man I don't even want to think about dealing with when it's our dogs time.
This was "just a fish" but it lived for 4 years and Eric loved him. This is really his first personal dealing with death. He has handled it almost like a grown-up in his maturity and acceptance, but as a parent, watching and listening to your child grieve for the first time is heartbreaking.

Good morning everyone. Finally moved, but not even close to settled. How is everyone doing?

The new house!!! SWEET!!!   I know the exhausted feeling you have right now.

King we moved out of an apartment and some how filled a 26' truck, however we did have some of my girlfriends sisters things. The house is awesome. We did a lot of shopping so far, new grill, tv, fire pit and a bunch of other shit. I'm loving it.

Good morning everyone. Finally moved, but not even close to settled. How is everyone doing?

Probably have to go to my dad's house to clean stuff out of my old room. After 10 years of not even opening the door to my and my sister's rooms, he suddenly threatened us that he will be emptying our rooms of our belongings to trash on Jan 1st. This after years of telling us our rooms will always be ours to keep. He now claims everything in the house is his and he only lets us have our own belongings because "he loves us."

He has already thrown out, without warning, many personal heirlooms and possessions claiming he decided it was time. He has irreparably damaged any remaining trust he garnered from my sister, and is about to purge himself of any remaining codnnection to what's left of his family. There was apparently a huge fight between him and my sister when she went to look over her things because he threw out my grandmother's 100 year old China that my sister explicitly said she wanted kept, then blamed my sister for it because she didn't come to get it sooner.

It's ugly and depressing and I just want it done, but I also really don't want to deal with it.
