It was brutal outside today. I walked two blocks and I was soaked. Plus I'm carrying 30-40 pounds of equipment and tools on my back. I can handle heat but this humidity is rendering it dangerous. Imagine how much hotter it is down in the subway. Nasty.

Yea, it's disgusting outside. Read it could hit up to 115 in terms of the heat index this weekend in NJ. Looks like I will be indoors enjoying the coolness all weekend.

Not this early. Boss already said we couldn't work from home when the AC was off earlier. I've got a desk fan that is on high right now, doing it's damnedest to keep me below melting point. The AC guys are here doing who the hell knows what to the system now.

Where I am, tomorrow is supposed to be worse than today. In some places, they are calling for actual highs nearing or at 100, with heat index passing 110.

The tough part is one of my good employees need a ride to work so I'm waiting on him. I'm gassed.

Also, after going through the scanner Monday morning at the airport, I was putting my sneakers on at a bench and the bench was mobile and it slid out from under me and I was on my ass.

I got a desperate call from my old boss today asking if I work a shift for them tomorrow. Apparently someone got fired, and someone else left, and they have picked up more accounts than they have people yadda yadda... Ball's in my court. I told him "sure"... but I'm coming in late. I don't wanna get up at 5am on my day off.

His response: "Come in whenever you want. I'll have someone stay and wait".

I'll probably just go in at 8 instead of 7.

It's nice to feel needed. lol

I don't need to start entirely from scratch, but a lot of features I think need to be rethought from the ground up, a lot of which will take me time to figure out how to do the way I want it. I'm not in the mood for tackling such a big project right now.

Everything's written down. I have to write everything down and organize it well, because my memory is crap. Often I have to look at my projects list and then I'm like "oh yeah, I forgot I was doing that!"
