Head to head bonus points?

After 6 rounds, 5 players get cut down to 8 players.  From there each round 2 get cut based on the scores, but I will be putting up head to head match ups between you guys.  The winner of each head to head gets a bonus point or maybe half point.

That sounds dangerous.

I live on the edge bro.

Just like the playoffs baby.  Just gotta make it to the dance, then anything can happen.  Give Jon the President's Trophy ... doesn't matter who wins the regular season.  They usually don't win the Cup.

And hey!  You're from Boston, so there's a great chance you'll choke!   :lol

I will do my best not to channel Greg Norman

I was going to go like a strict playoff as Chad mentioned as if you lose the head to head and in the bottom of the 8, you're out.  Lose you're head to head in the top 4 you get another shot, then once semi finals hit, you lose you're out until we get to the finals.

Thought that might be a bit harsh so opted for a bonus point thing.  Who knows though, my rules can change, depending on how scores level out.  ;D

I'd be surprised if you choked that much Brent.  :lol

Upon a first listen, the scores should be a lot more stretched out this round.

This is the part of the round where we spam for 4 pages, at least 1/4 of which ask for results.

That's the spirit.  It does seem so far that are tastes just really aren't a match, but I look forward to your submissions and hearing something different.  The East of the Wall though is quite a cracker!

Ouch.

Got no idea how mine will fare actually, I had a real hard time choosing between two songs. Seeing how things have gone in the past I probably chose the wrong song :lol but I haven't lost hope on this one yet.

i'm almost positive i'll get last place this time because it's a kind of niche musical style and i really love the intensity but i can easily see most people not liking it

Simply brilliant show last night.  It's amazing the age of these legends and they are still going strong, an absolute pleasure to watch.  Bruce is an absolute God, his voice was fucking spectacular and IMO the best frontman in the world, just so entertaining.  Loved it.

Here's some brief random thoughts on this some of this rounds songs.  I must say, this is the weakest round so far on a whole.

Another one pretty much right up my alley, although not as strong as other rounds submissions at this stage.

Ummm.........yeah, I don't see me getting into this one at all.

Errr........or this one.

I expected a bit more from this person, but a solid enough song.

I like the structure, and nice and quite aggressive, but not the most memorable song.

Not liking the vocals on this one much at all.

Really solid riffing here, doesn't really let up at all.

I almost spat my coffee out when I heard the intro.

Nice atmosphere and generally well performed and good vocals.

Solid and classic sounding, pretty safe, and I really like the vocals.

I'm too lazy to get a real image editing program since I don't do all that much, so I just use a web app. This one.

More specifically, once I had the text in it I would duplicate the layer and apply a blur filter to the new layer. Then used the eraser to put holes in the blurred layer, uncovering the plain text underneath.

Ruslan went to more effort than I did and his were arguably better, but this was a lot simpler so that's how I did it.

Jezuz H... really not sure which of these could be related to my tune.  Vocals for the lead singer can be polarizing, so hopefully they landed in the good zone here.

Ditto - I think the music in mine is spot on but the vocalist (as with many high pitched metal guys) took me a while to grow into .  If that's the case with Kade , then it possibly wasn't the smartest submission.

I don't know the band at all, but I've seen the name around here - Ghostship Octavius.

Voices from the Fuselage - think we all know who sent them.

Shadow something??  Shadowland perhaps?  Is the first one Theocracy?  Don't know if they were banned or not.
